I’ve been really discouraged and annoyed since our election began for a new president to replace President Bush. I tend to be a natural Republican I admit, but refuse to vote Republican just because I am. In other words, I insist on voting for the person – not the party. However, since this election began, no one has really hit me as being “THE PERSON” I wanted to vote for to serve as our Commander In Chief. I do not want to turn this post into some type of big political debate, but I have to say that Sarah Palin has to be the most shocking and intriguing thing to happen to this election. I have acutally started researching her and trying to find out just who she is and what I think of her, and while I know that many do not agree with her conservative views, I have to admit that she and I seem to think a lot alike (not just alike, but more so than any other candidate thus far) and she also fascinates me as a person. She seems so real. I haven’t seen that from other candidates. McCain though I do agree with him on a lot of fronts, but he is so bland – lacking in charisma that I just had not been drawn to him. While Obama has the charisma going, I just have some fundamental problems with his beliefs and his background so I was left wondering if I even wanted to vote. But I don’t believe in NOT VOTING! That’s unacceptable. I still plan to watch the news, do some research and follow through, but nevertheless, an election with an African American and a woman on the final ticket should prove to be an interesting election.
Wow! Go Mccain!!!
