As I’m learning to blog, I find myself checking out plugins about once a week or so just to see what’s out there. I’ve found one recently that I think may be my current favorite (and it will take a lot for the next favorite to move it out of number one spot) so I thought I’d share it with anyone else out there using WordPress who may not have seen it yet.
It’s called WordPress.com Stats and can be downloaded here. As a new blogger I really appreciate the information that it reveals to me, and I love that it seems very user friendly. I can understand each of the sets of information. 
Look at the screen shots below (yes, there are several, but I just want to show you how much information this simple plugin will give you):
The first thing you see is a chart that just shows you how many hits you’ve had on your blog:
For those viewers that do not type in your address straight into their browsers, you get a list of how they came to your site.
Which individual posts are getting the most traffic on your blog? Ever wondered? Where here’s a way for you to see. The only question I have here is that if htey are reading your first page (your most current posts), those won’t show up (I don’t think) since you don’t have to click them to read them.
Curious as to if you are showing up on search engines? Or what words are being searched for that are leading to your blog? It tells you this too.
What do people do after they come to your website? What links on your page do they click?
