Last year we went to Disney for Christmas, and I liked the idea of getting away for the holidays. It was hard not being home with the family on Christmas Day (and maybe the day after), but I really liked vacationing in the winter (this is a new concept for our family).  With my friend Catherine thinking about honeymooning in Greece, it’s got me thinking about vacationing overseas. I’ve never been outside of the United States (unless you count crossing the border into Mexico down in South Texas, but this was a brief day trip that was done just right over the border).  While browsing the Isle of Wight Hotel website, I got to thinking about spending our holiday there at the Isle. Is it possible to do this for just a short period (the time between school getting out and Christmas)? It’s important to me to create opportunities for my girls that I never had, and a holiday at Isle of Wight seems like an experience that we would truly enjoy (especially my oldest and myself).  I don’t have a designated goal of what to spend my daily earnings on, but vacations are probably the one thing that is the hardest for me to pay for and so that’s where I see the majority going, and the Isle of Wight is going on my dream board as a place to work towards going.
