Sailing Along the Life of Single Parenthood

WebHosting

Summer is when a lot of my webhosting bills come due – my personal ones and those I do for friends’ small businesses.  This is because summer is when I have time to sit and design websites. As it is time for one of those friends dues, I’ve been evaluating providers. I try to do this each time hosting fees are due in order to make sure we are still getting a good deal.

This time I came across a new company that I had never considered – Concentric. Concentric is a hosting service that focuses on small business hosting. For me personally, that is not a big deal, but because the other sites I maintain are actually for small family owned businesses, I thought I’d check them out. So what makes them different than other providers? For only a dollar a month (so $12 a year) than what we are paying now, they provide some interesting features like spam/virus filtering, 80 email addresses, and some interesting tools and applications including easy installation of WordPress, wiki, and a bulletin board.

I’m not sure if any of you that read my blog are small business owners, but I thought I’d share as I have forwarded this information on to my friends so they can look over it and give it thought.

    Hey Kimberly,
I wanted to make you and your friends aware of my site http://www.rebaterabbit.com . We give rebates for hosting. This makes hosting from any site a great deal. We don’t currently support concentric but some of our best small business hosts are netfirms, midphase and ixwebhosting. All great choices. If you design sites we partner up with free lance designers to make hosting cheaper for all your customers. Let me know if you are interested.
