Think Thin – Be Thin?

I’m not sure if that is true, but I am joining in a new blogging group started by Bridgette at the Not-So-Blog Blog – Think Thin Thursdays. Why? Because I already admit that I need to do lose a little and that is really hard to do as we head into the hoiday season.  It’s so hard to lose weight.  Staying motivated tends the be the hardest part.  So with the help of Bridgette and the other women who join in Think Thin Thursdays, we will support and encourage each other as we make efforts to tone up and/or lose weight.

From Bridgette’s Site:

Set a goal you intend to accomplish this week. If you are participating to lose weight, your goal can be as simple as “lose weight.” If you are participating in order to tone up, please set a more specific goal. For example, I will walk one mile twice a week. Blog about your goals and make sure you link back to THIS rules post and encourage others to join us! Next Thursday, you will tell the world about your achievements and set a new goal……..IF YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL (we are going on the honor system here) come back here NEXT Thursday and sign the “Shrinky Linky” in order to be eligible for prizes (and so we can all pat you on the back!). I encourage you all to visit the blogs of the participants and send words of encouragement.

Personally I’m setting two goals for this week (yes, I know gutsy, but I’m going to be depending on you guys to keep me focused).  

My first goal is to modify my diet.  I have gotten into a really bad habit of drinking too many sodas.  So my goal for the next week is to drink no more than 2 cans of soda a day AND to drink at least 2 bottles of water a day.  Accomplishing both of these will be a challenge for me so I am going to need everyone’s support!!!

Second, I want to become more physically active as I know simply making this one diet change will not have a big impact on my weight/physical condition.  My goal is to complete at least 30 minutes of exercise three times a week starting today through next week.
