Looking for the Perfect Gift
Well it’s that time of year where I need to purchase several gifts for the family. It seems like May to August are probably my biggest gift buying periods other than Christmas. My dad turns 50 today (Happy Birthday Dad!), and of course, Mother’s Day is tomorrow. My niece also just celebrated a birthday. Father’s Day will not be far behind, and we have several other summer birthdays in the family. So I’m on the lookout for that perfect gift for everyone as I browse the stores – physically and online – this time of year. And in addition, I have a few things I’m wanting to find at a good price on my list.
One thing in particular I’ve been looking for is a laptop, but I’m having to learn a lot as I go about laptops. While I know enough about processors, ram, and hard drive space to be able to pick out the computer I would like, I’m having to learn about some of the other features now to make sure that I do make a wise purchase that will suit my needs for an extended time – such as sound cards, video cards, how many available USB ports and many other features that I’ve not given much thought to in the past.
So today I’m off to do some real life browsing and shopping and I plan to look into some of the other features of some laptops. I’ll make notes of some different features I find that I want to come back and research and hopefully decide on a new laptop before too much longer.
