You wouldn’t believe how much researching and PHP and CSS I have edited this morning, but I think this blog is almost set up completely the way I want it!! YEA. Some of the buttons in the “Awesome Sites” sections aren’t still actives sites and there’s some other general housekeeping, but the hard core stuff is pretty much done I think! I’m getting better at better at this part…I just need a creative partner who can do graphics and we could start doing our own blog designs/setup for people! 
Ok….off to work a little on Southern Girl Reviews now (Oh, and I found a theme I really like, but again, need someone creative to do my graphics so not going to use it just yet…but did bookmark it so when I ready to get someone to do my designing I can use it over there – another great accomplishment of the day!) I tell you working all day on blogs is better than sleeping pills – EXHAUSTING!

Something is Going On
My posts are disappearing!!! I have now had 5 posts disappear today…I write them…I post them…I even see them when I go to my site….then when I write more posts and go back some of the previous posts are gone. I just don’t get it. There’s some bug going on that is about to totally piss me off….I’m tired or writing posts for the 2nd and now a couple THIRD time. If anyone knows of something happening write now (I can’t imagine what since I’m self hosted), please let me know before I give up for the night and do not get my blogging done! :(
So Close Now
I have found that I can’t do much with the blog design during the week – it requires too much focus from me, and I can’t do that anytime except Sundays it seems. So I just spent the last couple hours tweaking some other little things and working on my sidebars.
I wasn’t happy with the six buttons just because I had a few more sites I wanted to share with you in such a good spot. I was able to add the third row, and now you’ll see nine of my favorite sites over on the right side.
I also updated the ad that you’ll see about half way down this page (between posts two and three) for a cause that is very close to my heart that I would like all my readers to support. It’s an organization that supports our troops. My grandfather and uncle served in the Navy. My dad served in the Army, and my brother is currently in Iraq serving in the Army so I’ve joined up with Soldiers’ Angels so that I can do more than say I support our troops, I’m actually showing my support for a couple soldiers.
And finally I cleaned up the sidebars. I had deleted the stuff that I knew I didn’t want, but it was really unorganized. Tonight I deleted everything and started over. I’ve still got a couple small things I want to add, but I think it looks much cleaner and organized now.
I hope to finish up all the technical stuff next Sunday and then do a little with the colors, graphics, etc. Maybe make it a little prettier. Also got a few bugs to work out an a friend’s blog that I’m helping her with (Anna’s Life).
Coming Along
Thanks to some help by the creator of this original theme (you can find that link at the bottom of this page in the footer), it’s coming along a little more. I got my buttons up on the side here. You’ll see links to 6 of my favorite websites and about half way down this page, you’ll see a banner for MomDot, the home for mom bloggers.
I’ve put some different stuff down at the bottom and will be putting the recent posts back up into the side bar. Slowly but surely it’s coming along.
I’m starting to not like the color choices I made at the top and bottom, but creativity is my biggest weakness when it comes to this redesign so I may end up leaving it at this…We will see. Maybe I can come up with a better color combination to go with my carribean sunset image.
Forgive the Chaos
I am playing around with trying a new blog template but that means there will be chaos around here for a few days as I work it out. I’ll probably be changing back and forth between the two as I work out the kinks, but hopefully it will all be fixed over the next few days. If not, I’ll come back to the theme I’ve been using until I can work them out.
