Daydreaming
What do you do with your time when you really just don’t want to get anything done? For me there are three options – three ways I procrastinate. They are reading, blogging, and daydreaming. Today I’ve spent some time daydreaming. Of what? Of having a place to escape to at times like this when the weather is going to turn bad and having a second (or third) home would be nice – a place that not only myself, but family and friends, could all escape to when either mother nature or just life made us feel the need to do so. So I’ve been browsing the Internet for vacation homes for sale. Where would I want this escape to be? While my first instince says “the beach,” then I think of the reason this is on my mind – Hurricane Ike, and I’m thinking maybe the beach isn’t the best idea. Would it be somewhere far? If so, it would take a lot of time or money to get there – not feasible for a fast getaway – for a weekend or whatever. So I spent the day looking at places within three to five hours from here (and not south into zones that would typically be places that hurricanes would destroy. I still haven’t found a place. But I’m still looking……there’s still hope.
