All About Kimberly

Sailing Along the Life of Single Parenthood

Only One More Week

So I rarely get to lay around and watch television – especially daytime television. Well here I am, curled up in bed, loving this cool weather which means I don’t need air condition and I still need covers, and watching The View. But as I sit here and watch, I’m more excited over the commercials!! Yes!! Next week is the BIG ONE! A week I’ve been waiting for – the new Dancing with the Stars, Boston Legal, Ugly Betty, and Grey’s Anatomy will start next week! I’m a big fan of Dancing with the Stars, Ugly Betty, and Grey’s Anatomy.  And I’ve always liked the law shows so I catch Boston Legal when I have time.  We’ve had many converstations around my house on who Betty will choose and who will end up together on Grey’s Anatomy.  Now we’ll get to see.  I’m actually wishing this week off would have happened next week. :)  How sad is that?

Isn’t That Some Crap

I didn’t intend to write anymore tonight as I need to finish up some lessons and get some rest for tomorrow. These early mornings and full workdays are catching up with me, but I am so aggravated that I thought writing might help. :)

I’ve been sitting here catching up on my recorded shows from the past couple weeks. One program that I have really started enjoying this summer is a new USA show, In Plain Sight.  I happen to catch the preview before the series started, and I had just gotten the Tivo hooked up so I set it up to record the season. I’ve been good about watching them if not on the original showing, within a day or two.  With vacation and all, I had two recorded. I just finished the second one only to find out that the season is over!  Already!!  I feel like I’m just now getting serious about the show – really enjoying it, and it’s over?!?  And even worse, it won’t be back on until next SUMMER!!!  I have to wait a year to see the next one?!  What kind of crap is that?  UGH!!!  I don’t watch much television. I finally find a show I really enjoy and I get to watch it for 2 months a year?

Ok…I don’t know if I feel better or not. :)   But thanks for listening!

“I Wish I Had Recorded Them All”

This was my daughter’s comment today as I noticed that she had a zillion reality tv game shows recorded on my dvr and my shows were in danger of not fitting on the Tivo!  I demanded she get them watched and deleted TODAY!  So she sat down and watched Wipeout and I Survived A Japanese Game Show. She had about 4 of each recorded. She did watch them all and delete them, but after she watched them all she commented that she wished she had recorded them all so she could watch each elimination!

Yes, Sir! I have created a Reality Game Show Junkie!!  I don’t even care for or watch much of these two shows, but my daughter apparently has latched on to this type of show! Now I just have to figure out if this is a good thing or a bad thing!!
