Family Review Contests

I’m dividing my online time this afternoon between browsing and entering contests, the MomDot party, and finishing up a few sponsored posts I’m excited to share with you.  The contests I just finished entering are on a great new site I discovered – Family Review Network. If you’ve not been to this site, you should check it out (even if not interested in the contests). Why? Because this site offers great reviews on so many products that it’s great to see what real mom’s think after trying them out.  Not only that, but their reviews are sometimes accompanied by great discounts for their readers.

Looking for Prince Charming?

For some reason my personal life became the topic of conversation one day this week in my classroom. We discussed how much I am at school and how active my girls are – and therefore I do not have a personal life.  :)

One of my students decided it was her purpose to have me married before she graduates (she’s a senior)!  LOL  I don’t really see that happening, but one of her plans was for me to try some of the online dating services.  ironically enough, I then got this opportunity to review True.com.

Sign up is free at True.com, and they claim they will help you find the love of your life or just someone to date – depending on what you are looking for in life.  They use scientific compatiblity tests to match you and are endorsed by Psychology today.  

I’ve always had doubts about these types of programs.  In today’s world I just have a fear of psychos, but I did notice (and find it reassuring) that at the bottom there was a warning that criminals would be prosecuted (and married people).  I know this is not total protection, but at least it shows that True.com is aware on watching for it.  In addition, there is an entire area of the website that offers safety advice from everything to first dates to online relationships.

Not only can you sign up for free, but you can also search for free. However, you do have to join to see the search results.  This is a simple and painless procedure though if you are even slightly curious.  You can choose how much (or how little) information to reveal about yourself.  If you are single and actively wanting not to be, True.com is one site where you can look for someone to share your life.

First Package Arrived!!!

I’m so excited.  I signed up with Team Mom and my first package arrived today.  Team Mom is a group for blogging moms where they send you products and you evaulate them on your blog.  We’ll be experimenting with what they sent, but be watching….You’ll see a review soon.  Wondering what it is?  Well I can’t tell you yet.  It has to be a surprise.  :)  I will give you a couple clues.  It’s not an adult product like those MBT shoes I’ve been eyeing. And though I have talked about books frequently lately, it’s not a book this time.  It is a children’s toy.  Something similiar to one of my favorite childhood toys.  Got your attention?  Well check back regularly.  As soon as we get through “playing,” you’ll read about it here.

New Contest Coming Soon

Woohoo!!!! I just got an email from a company of a product they asked me to review. Well we’ve all evaluated the product so when I contacted the representative to let her know that we had a review almost ready to post, she let me know that she’d be providing one of the products to one of you lucky readers.
