My fourth task for Blogger Bingo is to tell you about my dream vacation and boy is that super easy for me!  In our house all dream vacations contain one integral word – DISNEY!

Disney

Yes, my family and I love Disney.  My absolute dream vacation would actually be a continous series of Disney vacations.  I would love to go to each of the Disney parks and do a few Disney cruises – all trips back to back.  Just one huge Disney vacation.

We’ve done Disney World three times, but I’d still be ready to go back. Our longest trip was 10 days and that wasn’t enough! We still didn’t do everything we had hoped. So that would be a 2 to 3 week stay.

I haven’t been to any of the other Disney locations so I’m not sure about length of stays, but we’d also have to hit up Disneyland, Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, and like I mentioned a Disney Cruise or two.  In addition, we might just have to do an Adventures by Disney trip too.  I’ve always wondered about those.

Yes, an all things Disney trip that lasted I don’t know 6 to 8 weeks would be mine (and my girls) dream vacation!

B-I-N-G-O Post #2

For my second Blogger Bingo task, I’m to tell you about my favorite date.  This one took me a while.  At first nothing really jumped out at me.  I’ve actually been giving this one a lot of thought all day.  What to write about? What to write about? (yes I said that twice on purpose)

And then as I was driving home tonight it dawned on me.  There are two that stand out more than any other, and both are because the guy recognized that I was a mother and not just another single woman. It wasn’t that the date was to somewhere amazing.  It was simply that these two individuals recognized me for who I was and accepted it – maybe I could go so far as to say embraced it.

#1 – 3rd or 4th date I went on after becoming a single mom.  It was our 2nd date.  Cameron was still very little.  He asked me out to a movie and then immediately suggested the latest family movie to come out so that Cameron could come along.  I had not expressed how much I hated leaving her, but he had somehow realized it or wanted to get to know her. In either case, that trip out was great. Realizing that I could be a mom and date and that there were men out there that were ok with that made this a date (and a relationship that even though it didn’t work, I will always treasure).

#2 – We had dated a few times, but it wasn’t really serious. In fact, I hadn’t even allowed him around Cameron much yet.  I decided it was time and invited him over for dinner and a movie.  Then I had a horrible week – students were on a tear, Cameron was on a tear, it was just all around sucky.  We had talked each night. He knew how crappy I felt.  So the night before he’s supposed to come over he asks if he should still come. Bound and determined to get over my week, I say yes.  He says ok, but not to make supper.  He insists that he knows I’m tired and he’ll bring supper.  Of course, I’m thinking a pizza or maybe fried chicken, but he shows up with groceries and cooks dinner for us that night.  Just to have someone who would put my bad week and my exhaustion level as a first consideration was one of the most endearing things I’ve experienced in a date.

All right….I’m all about content this week…I’m all about you getting to know me!  So here’s something that very few people have seen….prepare for it.  Are you sure you’re ready?  Ok then…..below you’ll see the inside of our refrigerator!

We’ve all played it….it’s a great game!  And this week, if you want to play along, MomDot is hosting Blogger Bingo (and I’m SOOO  Looking forward to it….I think they should host it more often!).

How does it work? Well every number on our BINGO card is being assigned a topic.  To be able to cover the letter, you have to blog about that topic.  Easy right?

The trick is that the letter/topic is only displayed for a limited time. When Trisha draws the next ball, the old topic is taken out of the post.  That means you better keep a check on the Blogger Bingo post.

This is going to be another sticky post for my Bingo card so I can mark the ones I do.  It’s not too late to join in.  Trisha says she’ll even be posting second topics for some balls!
