Traveling Safely

While talking to my “mother figure” who bought me the Wii Fit today, we talked about how bad I want to go to New York and see some Broadway shows with my girls.  I was telling her a story of how when my sister and I were in college, we went on a school trip to New York, and we stayed longer than the other students. We (in your young naiveness) decided to just ride the subway around and stop at a random place and explore. When we started to get off at a stop, there was a policeman at the door who recommended that this neighborhood was not appropriate for 2 young women. This is one of my concerns about making the trip alone with my two girls, I admit. We are after all a family of all females. So I’m thinking it might be best if we look into New York City tours. Being on a tour seems much safer, and one way I plan to start looking into this is through the Trusted Tours and Attraction Newsletter. Not only will this help us find things to do in Orlando as we make those trips with some frequency, but also I’ll be able to keep my eyes open for those New York Tours.

If you are a newsletter junkie like I am, Trusted Tours provides some of the best newsletters and online travel guides. And even better if you sign up for their newsletter, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $150 ITunes gift card.

Orlando Here We Come (Also Daily Contest)

Only 44 more days to go, and we’ll be touching down in Orlando, Florida. This is our third trip to Orlando to go to Disney World so we’ve been working hard on planning this trip, and it makes me think of our Christmas trip. This was a special trip for so many reasons. First, it was a surprise for my youngest – She had no idea until we were in Houston! It was my oldest daughter’s first trip. And then you add to all of that – it was Christmas at Disney. Disney is always magical, but Christmas in Disney was more magical than I could ever describe. I wish I could go every year sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

To be able to afford to take my daughters on these vacations, I subscribe to multiple travel newsletters and one of my favorites is the Trusted Tours newsletter. (If you sign up now, you’ll be entered in a contest for a GPS. Even if you try to limit your email and just wanted to look at their online travel guides, you can look for things to do in Orlando, the Metropolitan museum of art, or your selected destination of choice.
