The Latest from Dancing with the Stars

We won’t find out the “official” list of the Stars for the fall season until mid August, but rumors have started circulating. I wrote a couple weeks ago about the possibility of Warren Sapp, NFL pro, being of the stars.  Now the rumors are flying about the next possible star – former N Sync star, Lance Bass.  Lance would be the second N Sync star to be on Dancing with the Stars (remember Joey?), and he would be the first gay member. Yes, a couple years ago, Lance announced to the world that he was gay, and the rumors floating around are saying that he would in fact dance with another male dancer.

The second star that we are hearing about right now – Kellie Pickler. Kellie is a country music star who was an American Idol finalist.  While Kellie is not likely to be on this upcoming season, she has reportedly told Julianne Hough that she would for sure be interested in the opportunity to give it a try.

Dancing With The Stars Season 7 News

I’ve continued to check out tv this summer, but very few shows keep my attention like all of those in the previous season like Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy, and Dancing with the Stars. Today while browsing the online news I found an interview with Julianne Hough on CMT.com where she reports that she will be giving her new singing career her full focus and has no plans to return to Dancing with the Stars. I’m sad to report this as she was one of my favorite dancers.

Dancing with the Star Pros & Celebrities Tidbits

As I skim the online news, I thought instead of doing a larger article today, I would just kind of sum up some of the most recent Dancing with the Stars gossip….errr news. :)   Most of these I’ve published in other related newsflashes so if you’d like more details check out my Dancing with the Stars series page.

  • Karina Smirnoff and Mario Lopez who were past partners on Dancing with the Stars have called their romance over.
  • Other Dancing with the Stars romances are still going strong: Derek Hough and Shannon Elizabeth (from this past season) are still a hot item making many celebrity news headlines and Mark Ballas and Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan are not making headlines but also still an item.
  • Julianne Hough is moving up the billboard chart with record speed as she enters the country music world. Her new single is frequenly on our local radio stations, and she’s already sold over 67,000 copies of her CD. Starting tomorrow she will be touring with Brad Paisley.
  • Christian de la Fuente has recovered nicely from his surgery after he injured it during last season. His new series premiered on USA this past weekend, and was pretty interesting. Check out In Plain Sight to continue seeing Christian on your television.

Julianne Hough Rises to the Top & Free MP3′s

According to CMT News, Julianne Hough, the 19 year old two time Dancing with the Star champ’s, debut album, “Julianne Hough,” rose straight to the top of the Billboard Country Album charts. Way to go Julianne! In its first week, the album sold 67,000 copies (yes, I’m one of those 67,000. Are you?).

Haven’t bought the CD  yet? Check out these free mp3 downloads at People Magazine. You’ll not only find Hough’s song, “Hello,” but also many other country songs including “Making Me Smile” by Clint Black, “Perfectly Clear” by Jewel, “Home is Where the Heart Is” by Lady Antebellum, and songs by James Oto, Phil Stacey, Jimmy Wayne, Tim Hensley, The Roys, The Road Hammers, Bettina, and Jennifer Hanson.

Chances are you’ve not heard of many of these people and probably for sure not the songs, but if you’d like a head start on some of country’s newest stars and newest songs, check them out. I downloaded them last night and have burned a CD for my car.

DWTS Julianne Hough Stepping Out

Dancing with the Stars, Julianne Hough is branching out away from dancing and into the music industry. Or so it would appear, but in fact it’s the opposite. Her first love has always been music. According to the Associated Press, the Dancing with the Stars pro has been singing with her family since she was 4 years old. Their family, all being blonde, were known as “White Lightning.”  Hough reports that her musical icons are Faith Hill, Martina McBride, and Shania Twain.

Hough’s first CD debuted Tuesday and the songs I’ve been able to hear sound like she may have herself a career in the country music industry.  The CD is called “Julianna Hough,” and if you’d like to hear some of the songs check out her website (www.juliannehough.com) or Amazon has a few songs available too.
