Camp Rock Sequel Plans Rolling On

Just days after the premier of Disney’s latest made for TV movie, Camp Rock, plans are being released involving a Camp Rock 2. Reportedly, the movie will cast many repeats from the first movie that we watched this weekend including all three of the Jonas Brothers (Joe, Kevin, and Nick) and Demi Lovato. A possible release date has not been announced to the public yet; however, filming will reportedly begin next spring or early summer. Looks like Disney really does think this movie will continue in the footsteps of High School Musical (which is now working on becoming a trilogy as part 3 is filming now).

Missed Camp Rock?

If you have not seen Disney’s latest hit, Camp Rock, you have one more chance during the premier weekend to watch it online tonight at Disney.com/CampRock at 8/7 Central.  Not only can you watch the movie, but you will be able to see lots of extra features that we did not see on the Disney Channel, ABC, or ABC Family this weekend.  If you are a Disney fan or a Jonas Brothers fan, be sure to check it out tonight.  We’ve watched this movie between 10 and 20 times this past weekend and it’s a good movie.  Critics were right in calling it the next High School Musical as it is very similar.

Camp Rock Weekend

We’ve had a Camp Rock Weekend. Well, Cameron has had a camp rock weekend. I’ve had a very busy hard working weekend.  Seems like my to-do list all decided to become a priority at once.  I’ve spent hours working on redoing a website I built for a friend’s 4 Wheeler Mud Park, Coyote Pass. I’m happy to report that I’m on the down hill side of that now.  :)

Friday, our Camp Rock party was lots of fun. We had brownies, ice cream sundaes, and nachos.  We recorded it on the Tivo and watched it about 3 times Friday night, again as soon as we woke up Saturday morning…err..wow…that was just yesterday. Cameron watched it again on ABC last night and then again as she fell asleep, and it’s already aired twice today thanks to the Tivo.

I have to admit, I enjoyed Camp Rock. Yes, it was predictable.  But I find that to be the case with 90% of all movies I watch and probably 95% or more of family movies.  But overall, I haven’t minded watching it.  It’s been a treat. I’ve only got one complaint.  Why does the stuck up, *itchy teen have to be blonde.  Both Camp Rock and High School Musical are two recent examples. For once, I’d like to see the normal, caring, lead female be the blonde and the snobby evil girl be the brunette. :)

I gave my Dad a certificate for Father’s Day for a day out – food, movie, etc on me, and he cashed it in yesterday. And Cameron and I started on one of our Disney projects.  I know that August 7 will be here before we know it sooo we are making Cameron an autograph book in an 8 x 8 scrapbook…The first set of pictures are coming soon.

What I haven’t done this weekend – much of my online earnings.  I didn’t meet my goal Friday or Saturday, and so far today isn’t looking so great as we’re still working on the scrapbook and I’m trying to finish the website.  I will do a triple report in one tonight though so that I can keep up with my earnings.

Ok..I’m off to take the pictures of the autograph pages and then we’ll try to do a few more.

It’s Camp Rock Day!!

Yep. Thanks to my cleaning spree the house is ready for company. After we’re finished with the morning chores, we’re heading to the grocery store so that we can load up on the junk food – ice cream, hot fudge, chips, cheese dip, and sodas – oh yes! We are eating all junk food for supper tonight while we watch The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato’s new movie – CAMP ROCK!!! Yep the excitement is in the air here – How about your house? Are you ready for Camp Rock?

Camp Rock Getting The Push

Disney is continously finding ways to promote Camp Rock starring the Jonas Brothers. We’ve been following Disney Channel for several years now, and this is the first time I’ve noticed Disney pushing a movie so strongly. We’re excited to see Camp Rock at our house. We’re planning a summer get together for Cameron and some of her friends, but I’m also curious as to why Disney feels that this movie needs so much promotion. Will it be disappointing? You see first of all, we’ve been bombarded by Camp Rock previews and music videos for a while now, but this is normal. What makes this movie stand out as a different marketing scheme is the fact that this movie will premier on three different stations over the weekend.

On the 20th, it will premier on the Disney Channel to be followed by ABC on the 21st and ABC Family on the 22nd. That’s not even all. On the 23rd, we will be able to watch the entire movie online for 24 hours. Wow! I am pondering why Disney feels like it needs to make this transition in its marketing scheme?  It seems odd to me.
