Withdrawal

Yes. i’m going throuhg major withdrawal.  I cna’t stand not being able to access my blog all day long.  This is a real bummer. I can’t stand it.  So today I kept thinking of things and wanting to share, but I couldn’t.  i wanted to approve the comments, but I couldn’t and I wanted to go check out all of your Wordless Wednesday posts, but most of your blogs are also blocked.  And the few I could pull up, it was blocking the images so it made the Wordless Wednesday posts kind of pointless.  *sigh*

So I’ve never looked into the wireless cards or wireless modems that I think you buy through cell phone providers, but I think this is the move I need to make.  That way while at work, I can just connect through it instead of my school’s network.  How does this work though?  I’m not sure of the cost? Upfront costs and monthly costs.  I’d also like to know how fast it is and are there limits on how much you can use in a 24 hour period? month?

Anyone have any idea?

Internet – Problems after Problems

Lately it seems that I’m having one Internet problem after another and it’s very annoying.  If it’s not one thing, it’s another.  This time it’s my mobile router that seems to be on the fritz.  Yesterday it was that HughesNet told me I had exceeded my daily bandwith usage and was turned off for 24 hours (what’s new?).  I wonder if this is a sign that I need to spend less time online?  *sigh*

Super Fast Internet, Super Green Car

I am constantly searching for alternatives to my internet provider as I have a love/hate relationship with it.  See I live out in the woods so there are very few alternatives for me.  In fact I basically have two alternatives – dialup or satellite.  Can you guess which one I use?  Though because of other restrictions and the high price for horrible customer service, I almost wish I had dial up sometimes – if speed just wasn’t such a factor.

Unfortunately for me, Charter is not in my service area, but I’ve looked into them multiple times wishing they were.  They are always running great deals to go along with the fast service and great prices.  This time they are running a contest for a “green” car – a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid.  How awesome would it be to win a car that gets up to 45 mpg on the highway?  With today’s gas prices, that sounds like the best deal of all to me!!

Charter offers more than just Internet, they also offer telephone and television services.  If you are fortunate to live in an area that Charter offers services, you should go check out the services that Charter offers and be sure to enter the contest for the 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid while you are there.  All potentiol customers (those that live in the service area) are eligible to enter the contest. (So sad for me, but maybe good for you)

Bandwith, Bandwith, Bandwith

I’ve been with Hughes net for many years – about 8 I guess, and for the most part I’m ok with it – not overly excited, but considering I live in the wonderful sticks of East Texas. However, there are moments that I can’t stand it, and today would be one of those moments – when they cut me off for 24 hours because I have exceeded my daily limit of bandwith.  It makes me want to scream!!  And I don’t even do anything major – no video games, no Internet radio anymore, very few YouTube videos. I try to be conservative, but about 3 times a month that all goes to he** and I’m turned off.  However, I couldn’t stand to be without Internet tonight so I’m visiting Mom and Dad. Yep, SBC has no limits…we can all browse the Internet at the same time – as much as we want and they aren’t disconnected! So tonight I’m coming to you live from my parents…. :)

A New Internet Solution

I am so tired of my Internet provider. My internet seems to go down more and more (and more) and it’s quite costly too, and to have a repairman/technician come out and look at it would cost me $125!!  Oh yea, you read correctly, so when I stumbled on this opportunity to tell you about Charter internet, I thought, how great!  I can look closely at it for me AND you.

Charter is a high speed Internet provider that has rates starting at $14.99 (that’s less than a third of what I’m paying for my service), but it’s a limited time offer rate that ends July 31 so if you think you might be interested, go check them out quickly. And right now, not only will you get that great rate, but if you sign up through the link above, Charter will also give you a $25 Shell Gift Card (who can’t use gas money?).
