One of My Favorite Gifts
One of my favorite gifts to give family members are digital frames with the SD card already filled with pictures of our family. So with a recent trip to Disney over, I am on the lookout for good deals on frames and SD cards. I usually bring deals I find to my readers, but thought this time, I’d ask my readers to let me know if they hear of any good deals on either, to let me know. So if you come across anything, come back and let me know. I usually buy them the day after Thanksgiving, but don’t want to wait this time.
One of My Favorite Gifts
One of my favorite gifts to give is a framed stock certificate. One year I bought a couple each month and then gave them to all of the family for Christmas. Another year I gave them to each of my friends for their birthdays. Cameron has a framed stock Build A Bear on her wall that I bought from Frame A Stock. With Valentine’s Day coming up, I’m thinking of buying both the girls Disney stocks. It seems like it has been a long time since we went to Disney, and the girls really miss it. This seems like a great way to bring the girls a touch of Disney.
Frame A Stock is a site that allows you to buy one share of stock in a select group of stocks such as Disney, McDonald’s, Build A Bear, and DreamWorks. The stock certificate comes framed so that it can be proudly displayed. Because it’s a true ownership in the company, owners receive dividend checks, annual reports, and any other perks that come along with stock ownership. The benefits are the same for the owners of this one stock as the ones that own several shares.
I love the idea of giving individual framed stocks. It makes for such an interesting idea, and I’ve never given one that wasn’t truly appreciated. It’s so fun to watch someone’s eyes light up when receive their own personal stock that is handpicked – a favorite store of theirs. If you’re looking for a unique gift for someone special in your life, consider an individual stock. If you have any questions, let me know..I’d be glad to tell you more about my experiences.
The “Other” Favorites
Since I shared a video of Cameron with her favorites I thought I’d share mine and Becka’s favorite too. Becka’s not here right now, but I feel comfortable with saying that her favorite gift was her new laptop (THANK YOU SANTA!). In fact she was so excited that her desktop was donated by the end of the day yesterday (and I threw her desk out the front door to be hauled away by my dad).

And while I got several nice gifts, my favorite is easy to pick. It brought tears to my eyes. This was from my mom and dad:

Yes. It’s a flag, but even better, it came with this:

If you can’t read it, it says:
On behalf of a grateful district, state, and nation, this flag was flown over the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. on May 30, 2007 is hereby presented to
Kimberly
To commemorate the date her brother, Tommie, began serving his country in the United States Armed Forces.
Yes…this is easily my favorite and will be in a display case proudly out for show in my house soon.
Quality Gifts Under $25
As mentioned in my previous post, I am actively involved today in my holiday gift shopping. So imagine the luck when just minutes after posting, I get an email telling me about Kmart‘s awesome deals (25,000 quality gifts under $25) and asking me to share these great sales and prices with my readers. While browsing to tell you about these great deals I found so many awesome things I don’t know where to begin.
I found a great Craftsman screwdriver set that I may pick up for my brother, some Tinkerbell earrings for Cameron, a cordless screwdriver I’ve had my eye on for a while, a really pretty sequined dress for Cameron (for Christmas pictures), in fact all kinds of clothing, and the My First Craftsman Deluxe Rolling Tool Box that I’ve been thinking would make a great gift for my nephew. Now I just have to narrow down the cart that I’ve filled up and make a final purchase.
Some other things I found that were notable, but not on my shopping list this year are Craftsman tool boxes and bags, girls’ jeans, and Leapster Learning games.
If you are wanting to avoid the crowds that are getting heavier every day and do some online shopping, be sure to check out Kmart (and remember they are also offering layaway this season).

Something Fun to Do With Your Pictures
If you are a mom like me, you take lots of pictures…I can’t even imagine how many pictures I have thanks ot digital cameras. Not only that, but I love to find unique things to do with our pictures for gifts. I have those family members (you know the type) that have everything and this makes buying gifts for them near impossible, but if I can find a way to incorporate our pictures into their gift, it’s something new and always a hit – especially pics of Cameron. Thanks to FotoBed.com, I think I may have an answer for this year’s Christmas gifts. At fotobed, you can turn your pictures into some awesome custom gifts such as Photo Blankets, pillows, towels, and even shower curtains. I’ve included a pictures of one of their products as I’m so impressed. Isn’t this pillow case amazing?
