He’s landed in Chicago and is now on the next plane headed to Lousiana!!! (If you are not a regular follower, this is my brother Tommie who is in the Army and has been stationed in Iraq) Countdown is on…We are going to be leaving here in about an hour and a half and heading to Fort Polk for the welcome home stuff and then we’ll actually bring him HOME for a few days too…..

This Morning/Tonight
Tommie will be home from Iraq – not home for a visit, but home! At last notice he would be rolling in/released at 1:15 tonight/this morning!!! I’ll be heading to bed soon probably so that I can get some rest and make the 2 hour drive to his base and back tonight, but can you believe it?!?! It seems like he’s been gone forever, but then again, it doesn’t seem all that long at all. And now he’s home 0r close to home anyways….I’m so excited.
On a crappy note, I was right and I’m probably looking at $2,000 to fix my car – possibly a little more. *sigh* I hate my luck.
Tomorrow’s Christmas
Yes. Tomorrow we will be celebrating our first Christmas of the season so I may not be around much (one of the reasons I’m trying to finish up some of the most pressing reviews today….sorry for so many at once)…I’ll have a Sunday Smile in the morning, but that might be it until evening.
We are celebrating with my brother who will be leaving Thursday to head back to Iraq to finish his tour before coming home in the Spring. I’m excited. I love Christmas and have always secretly loved having extended family and two sets of parents because it did mean multiple Christmases and I love the joy and peace during a family Christmas.
MY BROTHER IS IN TEXAS!!!
Yes! He landed in Dallas today and is back home now! He got back really late tonight so Cameron was already asleep and we won’t see him tomorrow, but I’m already so excited just knowing that he’s so many miles from Iraq right now and home!!! Yes, I know….a short post, but I just had to share the news with everyone out there!!
