The DVR Has Arrived & Works!

Well I missed Dancing with the Stars for the 2nd time tonight. It was frustrating, but it was for a good reason. Becka was inducted into the National Honor Society tonight. Then when we got home I was bound and determined to get the DVR that had arrived today hooked up. Four hours earlier, it was successfully done.  I should probably add that it wasn’t that it was actually difficult to hook up the dvr. The problem lies in the 15 other things that we have hooked to our television like the dvd burner, the surround sound, the dvd changer, and the satellite. Oh and then there’s the Wii. I’m probably forgetting a few other things, but you get the idea.

I’m proud to say though that I think we have it up and going. The only thing that hasn’t been tested is the DVD burner, and I’m going to try to figure that out tomorrow. I needed to record something on the dvr before I tried so I have it programmed to record Dancing with the Stars tomorrow night and I’ll try to burn that to a DVD tomorrow. (Wish me luck.)

I’m so excited. I’ve wanted a DVR for a while and just wouldn’t break down and get it. I’ve already been programming some of my favorite shows to record every time they come on.  I’m so glad that I now can watch them when I do get home, when Cameron goes to bed, or on a weekend when I have more time.
