Think Thin Week 2 Goals

If you haven’t read my other think thin posts, I have joined a blogging group where we are all working on being thinner/healthier/toner….whichever our goal is.  Read more here:

Well it’s time to set my goal for week 2.  I read somewhere that it takes a month to really start a habit so I’m going to stick to the same goal this week – no more than 2 cups/bottles/cans of tea or soda a day and at least 30 minutes of exercise on 3 different days.  It’s gotten cold here so I’m actually going to get one of those sessions here in just a few so that I can warm up. My ultimate goal is to not be embarrased to wear a swimsuit come Spring/Summer 2009!

Reminder for Tomorrow

I just wanted to take a moment to remind you that tomorrow is our checkin day for Think Thin Thursday.  We’ll have completed our first week of thinking ourselves thin and encouraging each other to make wise decisions when it comes to our weight and health.  I’ve been working hard (and will report in officially tomorrow). I can’t wait to read about everyone else’s results either.  I was reading about Orovo today and thinking how I was glad that I had avoided pills so far and was working on improving things with Think Thin Thursday. Get ready everyone – tomorrow’s the big day!!

The Diet Continues

I’ve completed a week of my new diet.  I’m resolved to do something about my weight – I am not happy with my body or how in shape I am, but I want to avoid diet pills such as the alli diet pill so for the last week, I’ve had Special K for two meals a day, and on the days I’ve had mid day munchies, I’ve had one small package of the 100 calorie cookies.  I plan to continue with this alone for the next week and at the same time cut back on my sodas.  Then next week, I want to add in some type of exercise.  I really have to find a smart way to at least get back into my size 10 jeans.  Wish me luck!!

Summer Treats

Hmmm…so Ms. Trainer gave me a hard time about my skipped exercise and my weight gain.  Of course she did come right back to let me know that our weight tends to flunctuate 2 pounds during the course of a day so that maybe I had not actually gained any weight. While I’m thinking, “I’ve got to get my act together. I must lose weight.” What do I open my email to find? An email inviting me to join the Blizzard Fan Club.  For joining, I get a coupon for buy one get one free Blizzard!!  How can I resist?  Of course, I can’t.  I love Dairy Queen ice cream.  This is one of my favorite summer time treats.  Not only do I just enjoy them, but they bring back such happy memories. You see my grandfather used to pick me up one day a week after school, and we’d go to Dairy Queen.  I ordered the same thing every week – a steak finger basket (they didn’t have chicken back then) and a dipped ice cream cone.  If you have a Dairy Queen near you, head over, join the fan club, and pick up your coupon.  Take someone special to you and create a special memory for them at Dairy Queen.
