So I rarely get to lay around and watch television – especially daytime television. Well here I am, curled up in bed, loving this cool weather which means I don’t need air condition and I still need covers, and watching The View. But as I sit here and watch, I’m more excited over the commercials!! Yes!! Next week is the BIG ONE! A week I’ve been waiting for – the new Dancing with the Stars, Boston Legal, Ugly Betty, and Grey’s Anatomy will start next week! I’m a big fan of Dancing with the Stars, Ugly Betty, and Grey’s Anatomy. And I’ve always liked the law shows so I catch Boston Legal when I have time. We’ve had many converstations around my house on who Betty will choose and who will end up together on Grey’s Anatomy. Now we’ll get to see. I’m actually wishing this week off would have happened next week. 
How sad is that?

The Big Release
The big announcement came this morning. I was at work, but I Tivo’d it and just finished watching Good Morning America for the final announcement:

The new season officially starts September 22 and will air on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of that week. On the Wednesday results show there will be performances by the Jonas Brothers and Jesse McCartney.
Our family pick is (of course) Cody Linley – was there any doubt? He’s Hannah Montana’s onscreen boyfriend after all? Could we even consider anyone else? And I love Julianne’s new music turn in her life so that makes this pair a double dose of our favs. I’m also really excited to see Susan Lucci. I don’t watch much soaps anymore, but I used to be a big All My Children fan and still tune in from time to time.

Dancing with the Redskins
One of my all time favorite “Stars” from Dancing with the Stars is professional football player, Jason Taylor. I just loved his charisma. He ranks right up there for me with Emmit Smith (who was my all time fav celebrity). I’ve been behind on my news reading, but just discovered that he has left the Miami Dolphins for the Washington Redskins. Likely, his stint with DWTS was part of the reason as the Miami coaching staff didn’t act pleased about the lack of focus on football Jason had while the show was airing. I have always been a Dallas fan (through the good and bad) – my allegiance is to my home team. I’m Texan all the way. But I’m excited about watching Jason this year so I’ll be tuning into some Washington games as well. Too bad Dallas didn’t pick him up. That would have really made my day!
The Latest from Dancing with the Stars
We won’t find out the “official” list of the Stars for the fall season until mid August, but rumors have started circulating. I wrote a couple weeks ago about the possibility of Warren Sapp, NFL pro, being of the stars. Now the rumors are flying about the next possible star – former N Sync star, Lance Bass. Lance would be the second N Sync star to be on Dancing with the Stars (remember Joey?), and he would be the first gay member. Yes, a couple years ago, Lance announced to the world that he was gay, and the rumors floating around are saying that he would in fact dance with another male dancer.
The second star that we are hearing about right now – Kellie Pickler. Kellie is a country music star who was an American Idol finalist. While Kellie is not likely to be on this upcoming season, she has reportedly told Julianne Hough that she would for sure be interested in the opportunity to give it a try.
Do You Want to Dance With the Stars?
Are you a Dancing with the Stars fan? Do you make sure you’re home every week to watch some of our favorite (and some not so favorite) celebrities mold from clumsy fools to sharp professional looking ballroom dancers? Then you may be excited to know that we will soon have a new Dancing with the Stars video game for the Wii and Nintendo DS. We’ve played the other one for many hours so I’ll admit to being excited on the new release from Activision. The new version will have new dancers, new moves and more intense dances, and on the DS you’ll even be able to change the dancers clothes.
