I understand that capital letters mean you are yelling. Yes, I’m yelling because we are sooooo super excited. Today’s the day – the big day!! Today we are going to see…..The Cheetah Girls!!! The excitement is brewing in the air. You may remember that we have been cutting a link off of our Cheetah chain every day. Today the last chain is coming down from the wall (I’ll do a picture post after the concert so that I can post Cameron in her Cheetah outfit too). Hope you are having a great Saturday – we are preparing for a most amazing day!

Cheetah-licious

Yea!!! I just made one of my most exciting ebay purchases in a LONG time!!! I just bought two tickets to the Cheetah Girls!!! Yes, I’m a little old for the Cheetah Girls, but Cameron’s not!! This will be her first concert!! I had my eyeball on some really good seats with an expensive price tag (I was convincing myself that because it was her first concert the price would be worth it), when all of a sudden I noticed a new listing at the bottom of the list…these are even better tickets….VERY close to the stage….aisle seats (I love aisle seats)….and for a third of the price!!!! I am still in shock! I jumped on them very quickly!! Two tickets for less than $100!! And prime tickets! Why am I sharing all of this so excitedly? Because Cameron is sound asleep and doesn’t have a clue!! I can’t wait to tell her in the morning!!
On October 11th, Cameron and I will be at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, LA watching The Cheetah Girls!!!!
Vacation Now Officially Over
We just got back from the Kenny Chesney concert at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas and it was awesome!! Oh yea! My throat is hurting and I am feeling pretty tipsy. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a designated driver (there are advantages to having a 16 year old – old enough to drive, not old enough to drink)!!! I’ll try to write more later about the concert, but wanted to touch base and say how much I enjoyed Luke Bryan, Gary Allen, Leann Rimes, Keith Urban, and Kenny Chesney!! What a show!!! Now tomorrow we’ll get up and head back home…Monday I’m back to work.
A Last Minute Vacation?
Today I have come across an interesting story that has me pondering a last minute vacation. Obviously we are a Disney family. We love Disney, and I’m now considering a New Jersey vacation. A New Jersey Vacation? What are some things to do in New Jersey? What do Disney and New Jersey have in common? Well Radio Disney is hosting a Radio Disney Summer Concert Series in Wildwood, New Jersey. I had hoped to take Cameron to the Raven- Symone concert in our area, but then the concert was cancelled. Guess what? Raven-Symone will be one of the performers at the Wildwood events. Also appearing are Mitchel Musso, Jordan Pruitt, and Drew Seeley (all favorites of Cameron – ok of Cameron and Mom).
Tickets are on sale for the final event, July 26th, but on Mondays in July (the 7th, 14th, and 21st) Wildwood is hosting Magic Mondays. Magic Mondays will feature FREE concerts! Yes, FREE concerts. If you chose to not attend the free concerts and pick up tickets for the final Raven-Symone performace (priced at $27.50, $35 and $45), you’ll have some extra perks including receive $10 off an all-day waterpark ticket for either Raging Waters or Ocean Oasis, or $10 off an amusement pier wristband valid for all three of Morey’s Piers, or $15 off a one-day splash and ride combination ticket. I can not believe it, but I am going to see what airports are close price airfare today and look at Wildwood NJ motels to see if this might just be an option.
Kenny Chesney Here We Come!!!
After the disappointing news this week that Raven’s Pajama Party had been cancelled, I was able to score floor seats for the Kenny Chesney Poets and Pirates Show at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. They aren’t the best seats I’ve ever had, but they are pretty good – and much better than the non-existant ones we got for Raven.
I’m so excited. This will be my third time to see Kenny Chesney in concert! Performing with him in Houston are country superstars – Keith Urban, LeAnn Rimes, Gary Allan and Luke Bryan. This is for sure to be one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to with this many big names in one place. The concert starts at 4:00 in the afternoon and is supposed to last until 11:30 that night. I’ve never been to a concert that lasted nearly this long.
Anyone else going to this show? Or have you been to another stop on the tour? Those going to Houston may be interested in these facts that I’ve found so far:
- The parking lots will open at 9 a.m.
- People are welcome to come in and have tailgate parties, just like they do at Houston Texans games.
- All day entertainment is planned outside and inside.
- Once you go in the stadium, however, you must stay inside. You will not be able to go back and forth outside.
- Current plans are to open the roof once the sun goes down (as long as the weather cooperates)
- Fee per vehicle is $8 (note: Reliant’s website notes this is subject to change)
Anyone who’s been to one of the Poets and Pirates concerts, I’d love to hear your opinions, and if you’re going in Houston, let me know!
