Daily Contest: Another In Honor of Buttercup

I am dedicating another contest to the very special Buttercup over at Berrie Sweet Picks. Today’s contest is for one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen – an outfit from PrissyPoofs. As the mother to two daughters, I find these very girly designs to be amazing. If you check out the contest post over at Berrie Sweet Picks, you can see Buttercup in her first birthday pics wearing a Prissy Poof outfit and also enter the contest. Good Luck! If I don’t win, I hope one of you, my readers do. Below you’ll see my favorite of the Prissy Poof outfits.

Daily Contest: Buttercup’s Summer Memories

Wow! Aren’t you lucky, today here’s another Buttercup Birthday picture contest. This one is to post your favorite summer memory. I decided to stick with my daughter’s first year again since Buttercup is celebrating her first birthday so below you’ll find a picture of my daughter enjoying her own slice of watermelon. While the first watermelon of the season is always special, this one was even more special because it was the first watermelon I ever grew myself. Yes, that summer was the first summer I planted watermelon in my garden!!!

So without any further adieu,

If you’d like to enter, Buttercup’s Summer Memory Contest, you’ll need to post your favorite summer picture and then post the link on Buttercup’s Summer Memory Post. If you do this by the 27th, you’ll have a chance to win a Tabby Road “Recess Monkey” CD!

New York, New York

A friend of mine is in New York for the week, and I would so love to be there too. With this being a long weekend (which means I would have time), I even went so far as to research New York City travel and price airfare and hotels even though I knew it just wasn’t feasible right now. But this is a really good friend that I haven’t seen in way too long, and New York is somewhere I do really want to go someday.  Alas, I woke up this morning at home and not in a New York City hotel, but it’s got me thinking about that 30th birthday trip I’m planning with another friend and wondering if I should add New York to the possibilites of choices. The only thing that really holds me back is that I’ll turn 30 in December so it will not be the best time of year weather wise probably for a Southern girl who doesn’t like the cold. So if you’re reading this out there, my friend in New York, know that I do really wish I was there and not here in muggy East Texas today. :)
