I’ve received 3 Blogging Awards recently and it’s not time to share and pass the love. :)
The first award I received was from Bridgette at The Not-So-Blog Blog. It’s the “Your Blog is Fabulous” Award. And I’m so happy that Bridgette chose me for this award (Thanks Bridgette). The rules of the award are simple. You write about 5 addictions you have and then pass the award on the 5 blogs that you think are Fabulous…..
So my addicitons are
- MomDot Forum – I am there ALL THE TIME and ticked if I do a chore or two and come back and there’s no new discussions. It really is an addiction.
- Cherry Coke – I have to have a can of Cherry Coke every day!
- Blogging – I’m a relative newbie to blogging (celebrating a year this month), but I absolutely love writing here at All About Kimberly and have been thinking about starting a new blog.
- Disney – yes, Disney is an addiction for me. I love Disney. Our family loves Disney. We watch Disney Channel and every Travel Channel Disney show. We are always planning our next Disney vacation (even if it’s 2 years away).
- Mario Kart Wii – we received this as an early Christmas present from my brother and we play it daily. I am obsessed with unlocking as many items as possible.
And now for the big part….the next nominations for Fabulous blog awards….*drum roll please*
- Janet @ The Book Nook
- Kim @ What’s That Smell?
- Jennifer @ The Dirty Shirt
- Karen @ 3 Garnets & 2 Sapphires
- Trockle @ his personal blog (Love you Trockle)
A second award that I’ve been awarded was from Holly – a fellow Texan and Mom (and creator of my favorite little monster – Trockle). This award is the Honest Scrap Award. What is this award you are wondering?
According to Vivian Zabel at Brain Cells & Bubble Wrap:
Scrap means left overs, fragments, discarded material, and many times truth and honesty is discarded material, considered fragments and left over. So, we need to tell it like it is, and let the scraps fall where they will.
Honorees are to first list 10 honest things about ourselves – and make it interesting, even if we have to dig deep! Second, we are to pass the award on to 7 bloggers we feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.
So without any further adieu, here’s 10 honest things about myself:
- I still let my 8 year old sleep with me most nights.
- I rarely hang up my clothes. They stay in a pile and I just keep wearing them out of the stack.
- I never balance my checkbook. I just check my balance online. (which sometimes turns out bad)
- I own a ton of scrapbooking materials and don’t have ONE complete scrapbook.
- I LOVE margaritas, daquiris, and pina coladas.
- I buy lottery tickets ever week.
- I buy technology gadgets and frequently leave them to the wayside because I don’t read the manual so I never learn to read them.
- I’m the heaviest I’ve been in my life (excluding pregnancy).
- I watch Disney and Nick even when my daugthers aren’t home.
- Though I have a college degree and teacher certification, I dream of being a stay at home mom and having a husband who makes enough that this is not a hardship.
And now to pick 7 bloggers to share 10 honest things about themselves:
- The Momdot Team
- Jess @ Nothing But Purple
- Cat @ 3 Kids and Us
- Catherine @ The Blonde Diaries
- Jacqueline @ Blessings Abound
- Bridgette @ The Not So Blog Blog
- Staci @ Momma’s Gone Over The Wall

And finally I received an award from Staci and Momma’s Gone Over the Wall. This award is for blogs that “show great attitude and/or gratitude!” I’m proud that Staci thought of me when she thought of blogs that deserve this honor. For this award you are supposed to pass this very honorable award on to 10 other blogs also. So 10 bogs that I think show great attitude or gratitude are:
- Sweet ‘n’ Sassy Girls
- The Adventures of a Working Mom
- Just a mom’s take on things…
- Leah from Diaries of a Domestic Goddess
- My quest for sanity
- The Blog of Finleypotamus and His Little Kierbear
- Mom to 3 Angels
- Ohana Mama
- Savin Some
- An Island Life
Ok, ladies….it’s now time for you to reveal some of your thoughts and pass these awards on to some worthy bloggers.
