Well I received my stimulus check thanks to President Bush this week, and I’m proud to say that I immediately applied it towards my car loan and my credit card balances. Yes, I resisted the urge to spend it – I think I was wise this time. I’ve been working at getting debt free slowly but surely for a while, and I mean totally debt free – no loans at all – no mortgage, no car loan, nothing. Now that the end may be in sight, I’ve been researching to decide if I have the best credit cards out there. I don’t intend to ever let myself carry balances on them unless there’s a major family emergency so interest rates are not my top priority now (though they will still be on the list to review of course), but I want to find out what credit cards will reward me for using them. Which credit card will actually offer me the most benefits?
I’ve found a great website today that I thought needed to be shared with my readers – Credit Cards Club. It’s a great site because it has the credit cards divided into categories like no annual fee cards, gas reward cards, credit cards for those with bad credit, and even credit cards for students. I’ve been looking through each category that interests me and making some notes. I plan to do further research and then when school is out this summer look into some of these cards and maybe pick a new one that would meet all my wishful criteria and see if I qualify.

Congrats on paying down debt! I had wanted to apply my stimulus check to my car loan, but I think it may go to medical bills instead.
