Here we are….2:33 in the afternoon….watching the news and weather….anxiously waiting…

Ike is headed our way, and I have to say at this point, I would just wish he would get here.  Sitting around makes me nervous.  I can’t stand to not watch the news and weather and keep track of him, but that I can tell makes my daughter nervous. So I’m trying to limit it, but I can’t help it.  Ike is wearing me down.

The latest projections still say we will be witing until the wee hours of the morning for any major effects. Outside right now, it’s just another day.  There aren’t any signs yet that destruction is so close – which I think I may find even more frightening. That it can slip up on you so suddenly if it wasn’t for modern technology.
