All About Kimberly

I’m not a big television watcher though I’ve found as I grow older, I have found a handful of shows that I truly enjoy watching.  As I’ve started enjoying watching television, I realized how much I hate this thing called “seasons.”  Why you may ask? Because they end!!!!

I get all involved in a television show.  I finally learn the night and time the show comes on and I’m able to watch it live instead of later as I go through the Tivo recordings.  I figure out how everyone is related. I get so involved I’m predicting the future.  And then what? I’m told that in MONTHS….in the most recent case almost a YEAR….I can see if my predictions are true.

What the hell?  Yes.  I started watching “The Secret Life of an American Teenager” with Becka and one of her friends that were over the night of the premier.  I got my attention so I set it up to be recorded for the rest of the entire season.  Within just a few weeks, I was watching it each week avidly.  I know the characters – who is family, friends, enemies.  I’m pulling for some relationships and hoping some will end….and now it’s OVER!! And when will there be new ones?  Not until next summer!!!

So tonight I’ve flipped over to ABC as most shows that I do enjoy watching come on ABC.  Of course tonight I’m watching reruns.  Reruns of shows I like mind you….which makes it more frustrating. I really want to see who Betty of “Ugly Betty” chose.   Now I’m watching “Grey’s Anatomy.”  This is one of my favorites. I would so love to see new episodes here.

I can remember when I used to watch soap operas….I’ve been thinking about this.  Soap Operas don’t have seasons!  There are occasional reruns – holidays and such! But for the most part every show is a new one.  If I was a awesome millionaire and could start my own television station….I’d start one that the shows may take a week or two off, but I would eliminate seasons!
