How did  James O’Halloran and Kevin Foley do this? First they used very small bristles and lots of them.  They also made a large head so that you did not have to use a lot of pressure when you brushed.  (My dentist has also stressed to me the importance of brushing our gums and how few people do so, but with the large head you’ll be doing this also.)   Finally, they set out to make an original – comfortable handle.

Not only did they do all of this, but they did it while being environmentally friendly. From making the packaging from recycled materials, to using cellulose, a plant based plastic, and 100% recycled wood fiber for the handles. Several models of the brushes come with replaceable heads so that you are throwing less waste away. They even use manufacturing equipment that is as environmentally friendly as possible.  In addition, if you return their products for recycling after you finish your 

All of us immediatly liked the handles, but had a hard time adjusting to the large heads. This was quite a bit different than the traditional toothbrushes we had always had, but after adjusting, I truly loved the larger head – especially the fact that I knew my gums were also getting a good brushing.  Cameron and Becka tried out the Intelligent brushes which have timers on them that inform you of when you’ve brushed your teeth for the professionally recommended time of two minutes.  Of course Mom didn’t read the directions so it was a little difficult at first because we didn’t realize the timer would actually beep at each 30 second interval, but after figuring that out, it has been amazing in letting her time herself and know that she is doing a good job of brushing her teeth. Becka, my lefty, really likes that the brushes come in left and right handed as she’s never been able to brush her teeth well left handed.  We’ve enjoyed these toothbrushes so much, in fact, that we’ll have new ones in our stockings here soon because we’ve made sure Santa knows how much we loved them.
