App to Enter Contests

I have tried about 5 different barcode scanner apps, and none seem to work correctly on my phone and/or the barcodes I’m trying to scan. I have a Samsung Galaxy. I am trying to participate in a reward site that rewards you for scanning barcodes while shopping. My phone should do this. I use one app for entering contests in a magazine I read, but can’t get this to work. Any ideas for a free and reliable scanner for my Android phone? Suggestions are appreciated! I’d really like to earn these rewards.

New Outfits

Cameron and I skipped real back to school clothes shopping this year and instead are going to buy 2-3 new outfits each month so that we are constantly adding new clothes into the cycle.  So far I’m really liking this way of shopping. As Cameron grows we will be slowly buying bigger clothes that fit.  And hopefully as I shrink, I can bring smaller clothes. :-) So yesterday was the day we browsed the Internet and then the stores for girls clothing and picked out a few outfits for September.

It is getting harder and harder to find clothes that are acceptable to the school and meet Cameron’s unique fashion sense.  There’s a couple local stores, but their prices are not always acceptable for me.  Now there’s a real challenge – the school, Mom, and Cameron all agree on the store and clothes.

Cameron really likes leggings and skirts, but due to dress code, they have to be a  certain length and as she grows taller, it’s harder to find that length. We found a  cute skirt at Tea though and she can’t wait for it to be delivered! It appears that it will meet all of our criteria!

As your child grew into a tween, how did you manage to satisfy all the criteria required for her clothing?

Shop, Shop, Shop Til You Drop

Christmas shopping has begun. It might be 102 degrees outside, but I still must start shopping. I like to have almost everything complete by Black Friday, and I finish it out that day. I should have already started, but I’ve been very unmotivated lately. (oops!) I have a few odds and ends, but I don’t have nearly as much as I should. There are so many great deals online every day though so I’m sure I can start playing catch-up if I get my act together. I found a michael kors watch today that I think will make a great gift for the watch collector in the family. I have a pretty good amount for my youngest daughter and grandson already. They are so fun to shop for.  The hardest people for me are the men – dads, granddads, uncles, brothers.   They will be my last people to buy for as always. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
