Disney Newsflash: The Tea Cup Madness Continues
After the jury found Victoria Walker guilty of misdemeanor battery last month, I thought the madness about a altercation between Walker and Amiee Krause was laid to rest, but it appears I was wrong. It has now been reported that both Krause and her husband are filing separate lawsuits against Disney. If you have not been following this story, these two women got into a physical altercation in the lines on the TeaCups over skipping in line at Walt Disney World, and Krause filed charges against Walker. As mentioned, Walker was in fact found guilty and sentenced to 90 days in jail and nine months of probation. However, apparently Krause is not satisfied.
It has now been reported that Krause has filed charges against Disney as she says that the employee on duty at the ride that day should have stopped the argument while it was still verbal, that there were not enough security guards on duty, and that the ride line should have been videotaped. In addition, her husband is suing for “loss of his wife’s support and companionship.” Disney reportedly is claiming that the suits have no merit, and they are not worried. I have to wonder though…..
I had no problem with the original lawsuit. I’m not sure I would have pursued it, but after reading through the articles, I’ll admit that things did get out of hand and that maybe Ms. Walker did need to be held accountable for her actions, but now I’m wondering if that lawsuit was really just a motive to be able to go after the “big guys” - Disney. What do Mr. and Mrs. Krause hope to gain from Disney? No doubt the answer to this is money. In today’s society, I feel like they probably think that Disney will just settle (with a large cash amount) to keep from having the bad press. I’m not saying that none of Krause’s complaints have some merit, but with both her and her husband following the Walker trial so quickly with these claims, I admit to being quite skeptical. I have big issues with people using our legal system now just to profit themselves, and this is what my first instinct says about this circumstance. Maybe I will be proven wrong - I will be following this I assure you, and I hope that I can report back to you at some point that the Krauses are in fact not just “gold diggers,” but I do have my doubts.
What do you think? Do you think Disney is responsible? Do Krause’s claims have merit? Do you think Disney will bother to fight? Or just provide them money to hush this up? I’d love to hear your opinion.

the only reason they are doing is is because Disney has money and it gets them in the news. I think it is a joke.
I agree with you Kim. This is exactly what I think too.
I think it is all about money also. I would be embarassed to have such a trial on tv. I would never have let it get to this anyhow. Great example for the children. They should be ashamed. I guess Mrs. Krause was looking for some compensation from Mrs. Walker and didn’t get it, so she would like to try and get it from Disney and shame their good name. Disney, don’t do it!!!!
I think that Aimee was purposely agitating Ms. Walker that day, just to get in an altercation and file a suit. I also think that if it had not been Ms. Walker it would have been someone else, because she needed a “good reason” to go after Disney. I hope that Disney does not give in on this and that her lawsuit goes down the drain. I wonder who she’ll sue , then?
I watched some of that trial. Aimee Krause’s injuries faded in and out depending on who was questioning her and what the questions regarded. She had no ticks or blinking or memory loss in the beginning until her attorney started asking what injuries she suffered. Then the games began. She and her husband are only looking for the gold. As far as Ms. Walker is concerned, she was with a church group - loose the profanity - gives us all a break. How much money did tax payers have to pay for that trial??????
It’s all about the money. They forget that everyone goes to Disney for the children to have fun and not to get money out of it.
Just when you think people cannot sink any lower, there never fails to be an example of how we seem to have no limit to how far down we’ll slither. This is simply another pathetic example of how so many people think they’ll build their future from a lawsuit. The Krauses most likely figure they aren’t hurting anyone with this absurd lawsuit and that Disney can afford to pay out so they’ll shut their mouths. However, these things hurt us all and it’s high time that those initiating these types of silly lawsuits, as well as their attorneys, were held responsible for the waste of time, money and resources they cause. The Krauses and their attorney are an excellent example of why the entire population is so frustrated with our judicial sytem and why it’s looked upon as such an impotent joke.
I just watched the trial and was very annoyed. I think we all deal with Aimee Kraus’s on a daily bases. Mean, rude people starting fights and then cry when someone reacts to their rudeness. Why hasn’t Aimee been charged with anything. She instigated the whole thing? I probably would have snapped, too, like Mrs Walker if I was dealing with a rude lady like Aimee Krause. I don’t think Disney has any liability at all. I wonder how many other people Aimee Krause has sued in her life. She seems like the kind of person who is always out for a free buck.
