I have one tip (from a serious clutter-challenged person here!)
-BASKETS!
I have found that baskets are a great way to hide the clutter in a hurry for that 10-second tidy that needs to be done on occasion. They can go under end/coffee tables and if you get a few the same size & shape they will look streamlined all together.

I wish I had some good tips for you, but I don't. However it must be nice to get some things moved around. Every once in a while I like to switch where everything is at in my home just to give some change to the everyday life.
