Of course, I love to watch Dancing with the stars each week. It’s one of the only shows that I actually can remember what days it comes on, and I try to be home to watch. This means when I’m surfing the ‘net I also am on the lookout for Dancing with the Stars news.
I have to admit to being a little aggravated over the article I found today. Mike Florio, a columnist for Sporting News, wrote an article about the top 10 players he thought should retire. Jason Taylor of the Miami Dolphins was the first person on his list. Why? Because he is performing on Dancing with the Stars. Florio mentions the fact that dance practice is keeping him from attending the Dolphins practice. Does he not think dancing is exercise? How many pounds did Marie Osmond lose last season (oops! That was thanks to Nutrisystem wasn’t it? Not the daily exercise she was getting. I almost forgot about that commercial)?
But I am open minded enough to be curious as to what happens during offseason workouts? Or they actually practicing plays? Or is it just exercise to stay in shape? If they are learning plays, maybe Florio has somewhat of a point? I’d be curious to know what his teammates and coaches responses are to his Dancing with the Stars appearances and missing of practices.
Curious as to who else Florio listed? Zach Thomas (Dallas Cowboys), Michael Strahan (New York Giants), Brad Johnson (Dallas Cowboys), Byron Leftwich (Free agent), Jonathan Ogden (Ravens), Orlando Pace (Rams), Chad Johnson (Bengals), Tony Brown (Free agent), and Matt Jones (Jaguars).
