Yep…today here in East Texas we are supposed to hit at least 105 degrees!!  And we still have an entire month left of summer!!  I am thinking this August will be a hot one - a REAL hot one! This is a time when I do not consider air conditioning a luxury - it is a necessity.  The air conditioning needs to be in tip top shape too. This means having an air conditioning repair man or company that you completely trust (and hopefully is affordable), but also has the resources to be to your house quickly and enough parts to fix your problems (not have to wait a few weeks for a part to be ordered) - particular if you have central air.  If you have a brand name system (such as Carrier), it is probably best to call your Carrier air conditioner installer when you need service calls too as they are knowledgable about how your house was set up and also familiar with the name brand itself. Both of these qualities will mean better service for you in the long run.  Another advantage of using a service man from the same company as your air conditioning unit, is that they will know if the problem is covered under any type of warranty; however, a generic air condition service man probably won’t know or care about this as they will expect you to pay for the damage immediately.  If you are experiencing this hot weather like we are, be sure you’ve asked around and found a service man for your unit so that if a problem arises, you are ready to make that call.
