You know I’ve heard this many times in my life – how vindictive and ugly girls can be, but I’ve been pretty oblivious I guess. i wans’t this way, and had not been treated this way. Today, however, I got so angry at the ugliness of the girls in Cameron’s class – actually this time, just one girl – one of her “best friends.” I’ve been struggling with this since last year when we moved schools. At our previous schools the kids were all friends. There wasn’t really any “groups.” Our new school though is drastically different. Her grade is very “clicky” which is hard for my little sensitive girl who just wants to be everyone’s friend.
Today she came running to me after school, and pulled me quickly aside. Why? Because she was in tears because this “best friend” had told her that if she went to the Cheetah Girls concert, she was going to pull her hair out!!!! Cameron had to be consoled (as you can well imagine), and then she wanted to call the little girls mom.
I didn’t let her call the mom explaining that this was a school issue, and she should have told her teacher or whatever adult was in charge at the time of this exchange. I did stop one of her teachers after school also though and made him aware of the situation – asking him not to actually do anything about this infraction but to make him aware and watchful of future exchanges!
So today I agree with those that have told me before how evil girls can be, and I don’t like it one bit.
Girls are Evil
