All About Kimberly

Sailing Along the Life of Single Parenthood

Family Movie Night

Our family loves movies. We watch at least one movie every week at home together as a family AND go out to the movies twice a month.  While the movies always have to be suitable for Cameron (who is 8), we take turns on who picks the movies each time.  Frequently we do these movie nights on the weekends so that the girls can invite friends over.  If we eat at home, whichever girls picks the movie, the other gets to pick the food.  Some nights we do something simple like pizza. Other nights they choose steak and potatoes or lasagna.  If we go out to the movies, popcorn and a coke are a must.  Cameron gets the child’s popcorn meal and Becka and I share a large popcorn and coke. (You get free refills on larges so we can dump refills into Cameron’s little children’s meal box as she finishes her meal.)

After watching this trailer, I’m thinking that All Roads Lead Home The Movie will be one of the movies I push the girls to watch:

This is the perfect movie for a family to watch – a movie that’s child appropriate and communicates a good message.  I had never heard of this movie until given the chance to review it for you, but now that I’ve watched this trailer and done a little research, I think it will be on our must see list.
