The Walt Disney Company is voluntarily recalling 8,000 Tinkerbell wands and 4,100 Pirates of the Caribbean sleeping bags due to violation of the lead paint standard. The wands and sleeping bags would have been sold between April and October of last year (2007). No one has been harmed; however, if you have any of these products in your house, Disney and the US Consumer Product Safety Products Commission is requesting that you take them away from your child and return them to the store for a refund immediately.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, this was discovered during random tests last year when the stores were still owned by The Children’s Place. Any remaining products were removed from the shelves immediately
