I am a member of a couple blogging forums where it seems once a week (at least) we talk about website optimization and what we can do to make our websites get more traffic. At least once a week, I also get a blog comment or email from some company promising me miracles. Is this possible? I don’t know, but I tend to just take small changes on my sites from time to time and slowly use SEO techniques I find online to look for ideas that others share to promote my sites.

If you are creating a blog, there are tons of SEO plugins out there and some themes also come with built in SEO features. One of my sites has these themes, and I have tried many of the plugins (and will be blogging about those later). But I think one of the best tips is to just write good content on a regular basis.  Adding quality content regularly will help you rise up in the search engines and when readers find you, they will continue to follow you.

The first day of the school year is today, and as seems to always happen I can’t sleep.  I’ll pay for it when we get home from school, and I’m exhausted, but even after all these years, I still get that first day excited feeling.  And today is like every other year. So I’m up tonight (or should I say this morning since it’s after midnight, doing some online window shopping).  I’m so cheap that I do this a lot. I dream of owning some beautiful items I find online.   And sometimes I find some great deals and my window shopping becomes real shopping.
