Another task on my to do list now that I have Internet again (WOOHOO!) is to start looking at car insurance rates. Mine seem to be creeping up instead of down each renewal so I’m wondering if mine is the lowest I could find now or I should be changing. I’ve have had the same policy for over 13 years now.  I would think loyalty would actually end up resulting in discounts, but nope.  No loyalty discounts. I don’t understand businesses.  I hate to make changes. I like being loyal, but now I have to consider a new agent.

Today is Wednesday which means the weekly night out with my dad for dinner.  I have discovered in the last few weeks, I really like flour tortilla enchiladas.  So they are really just fajitas with meat only and covered in cheese, but in my mind they are so good.

In addition to the yummy meal it’s always so great to spend an hour or two with my dad. Even though we live within 150 yards of each other, we sometimes only see each other each Wednesday as life gets so busy.

Maybe I need to schedule a day of the week that we always see other friends and family.  It seems like life always gets so buys and we realize that we haven’t seen each other in too long.  How do you find ways to be sure to see your friends and family face-to-face?

I love the warm weather.  I love it all summer long, but after I have to start dressing nice and going to work, I am officially ready for fall and cooler temperatures. I’m sick of the heat.  We actually hit 100 this week in some of our towns.  It is crazy!  The weather man is finally telling me that we’ll see highs in the upper 80s next week and I am so hoping he is correct and doesn’t change the forecast between now and then.  I mean it officially became “fall” this week, and we’re still experienced heat that makes you want to run back inside after you are forced to go out in it in anything but shorts, tshirts, and flip flops.

I can’t say who yet, but one of my pals are having a great time right now…they have just confirmed they are having a baby!  Having a Baby!  Yep…I’m going to call myself an aunt to this special little one, but until that great day, I’m enjoying helping her pick the best prenatal vitamins to make sure that I get to love and cuddle with a cute little one before summer gets here. I’m sooo ready to hold this little bundle of joy.   And before that, I’m just ready for it to be public knowledge so I can congratulate the happy couple by name!!!

What a day already, and I probably won’t be in bed until 2 am! I got up bright, scratch that, dark and early this morning to chauffeur Cameron from a lock-in at church (45 minutes west of our house) to twirling camp at our former school (30 minutes east of our house)…yes. I drove 45 minutes to pick her up, over an hour to camp, and then 30 minutes back home. And I did all of this by 10 this morning with my glasses on, no makeup, and wearing a pair of men’s running shorts . Oh yes…I was hot looking. LOL

I then came home and did laundry, dishes, cleaned out the fridge (of leftovers, etc) and then took out the refrigerator shelves and scrubbed them.  Yes…It’s lunch time and I’ve done all that, put chemicals in the pool, and am now showered and preparing to leave to watch George Strait and Reba McEntire tonight in Bossier (another hour and a half drive there and then again coming home)…hello! high mileage!
