Early Day!!!
Yea!! Today we get out of school in just 20 short minutes!! Yep! 11:50!! I’m so excited and so glad. My to do list is pretty long so I’m very anxious to get everything done. In addition the Cheetah Girl concert is tomorrow so I’m very glad that I can get a lot done BEFORE the concert and won’t have so much to do Sunday!
Why are we out? Nope, it’s not a holiday. Nope, it’s not the end of a grading period! We are out because of a local fair!! How awesome is that? We won’t be hitting the fair this year since we’re going to see the Cheetah Girls, but we’ll still be enjoying our time off. We are starting by heading over to the neighboring town to find a GOOD lunch!!
Ike Problems Not Close To Resolved
So I have to spend today on the phone with my car insurance salesman because an adjuster still hasn’t contacted me concerning the damage to my car. Tuesday it rained and because there is no a big gap between the top of my car and the sunroof, it rained IN MY CAR!!! Yep, not only does the outside need replacing now, the inside roof fabric will have to be replaced as it now has MAJOR water stains. I simply don’t understand the delay. I have used a local insurance company for years (since my first car) as I liked dealing with a person - not the Internet, but I’m honestly considering going elsewhere after this is all resolved. This is INSANE! Yep…It’s a great Thursday.
Can’t Get Enough Sleep
I just don’t know what the deal is. It seems that lately I jsut can’t get enough sleep. I had a rough weekend, but then slept until lunch Sunday thinking that I would be caught up, but yesterday by the end of the day I was EXHAUSTED! So I go home and nap from 4:30 to 6:30. I went back to bed at 10. Could I wake up this morning? Am I full of energy? Nope….still craving bed time. It just seems like no matter how long I sleep, I can’t get over this permanent state of exhaustion….ugh!!!! (I think I’m getting old!)
Rested!!
I feel so much better. I did wake up this morning long enough to make sure Cameron and her friend that stayed the night woke up and went to church with my grandmother, but I headed straight back to bed and slept until the Texans game. I think I could have slept later, but I had sat my alarm to be sure I was up in time to watch the game. I just sat and watched it doing very little (a load of laundry and dishes, but that’s it). Now that game is over and my Cowboys are on. Having to multitask during this one, but I think after today I’ll be recovered from the last few days. Now can I catch up on other things that were neglected during our busy weekend tonight so I’m not fighting to catch up all week? That’s an important question. Well, on that list of things to do are several blog posts, etc so I’m going to start on those and emails now for about an hour and then grade papers for an hour. :)
I SURVIVED
I survived the weekend. Oh yes, 3 days of basketball tournament, teaching, a football game, and 2 softball games. All accomplished in the last three days. Of course, I haven’t been very good about keeping in touch here or keeping up with email so that’s the task ahead of me for tonight and tomorrow. Oh, and grading 60+ essays - I must not forget that. *sigh* But this is not a whining post. This is a celebration post….celebrating that I made it through all this, and with a smile on my face.
On top of that, our girls and boys won the tournament, we won the homecoming football game (43-0), and we won one and lost one today at our first softball games - which I’m proud of. So overall all of this craziness has been a success.
