December 15th – Monday’s Muse

It’s that time again….time for Monday’s Muse….What is Monday’s Muse? Monday’s Muse is a meme hosted by Maternal Spark.

Monday’s Muse is all about inspiring creativity in our fellow moms….. - anything that inspires your creativity. It could be a photo, a quote, a piece of writing or an idea.

To Particpate:

Write a blog post about something that is inspiring you on that day. Something that get’s you thinking creative thoughts. Something that’s gotten you ready to move into creative action. It can be anything as long as it is an inspiration to you. Once your post is live on your blog, visit Maternal Spark and ad your url to the Mr. Linky with the current post. That’s it! Now you can visit the other participants and see what’s inspiring them.

So this week, I thought I would write about what my inspiraton for this week will be – ANTICIPATION!  Or maybe I should say COUNTDOWN.   If you don’t already know, I’m a teacher. After 8 years (this is #9), my body and mind are just programmed for school calendars, and I’m counting down and waiting with much anticipation for this week to be over and Christmas break to start.  This will be an easy week to countdown also as we’ll have class today, I have a class visitor scheduled for Tuesday, semester review on Wednesday, and then we’ll have semester exams on Thursday and Friday (oh and Friday we get out at 11:50…YEA).  We have a semester exam exemption policy also so over half our student body will be gone on Thursday and Friday.  So what’s inspiring you this week?  For me, it’s the promise of a much needed and almost here vacation.

Monday’s Muse

Monday’s Muse is a meme created by Maternal Spark where we as mother’s tell about what inspires us – what sparks are creativity.  For me this week the answer is super easy…it’s a combination of two things – VACATION and FAMILY.  I’m a teacher, and we only have school today and a 1/2 day tomorrow.  We will then be out for the remainder of the week for Thanksgiving break, and I am so ready for it.  I’ve got so much planned to do during this time that I can’t wait!!  And of course, during this break we will be spending a lot of time with family – in particular, my brother that is in from Iraq who will heading back soon after the holiday weekend.  So what inspires you? Participate in Monday’s Muse by blogging about this on your blog and heading over to Maternal Spark to sign this week’s Mr. Linky.

Monday’s Muse

Here we are at another Monday (actually I’m writing this on Sunday night) and thinking – what sparks creativity for me? What specifically comes to mind for the upcoming week – and the answer to fme was really simple this week – CHRISTMAS!  Yes, thanks to the party at MomDot, my Christmas bonus I received on Friday, my brother being home from Iraq for two weeks, and the fact that I cleaned all weekend in preparation for the Christmas tree, I am in the spirit of the season and ready for the Christmas season to arrive.  I will be putting up our Christmas decorations this week, and I can’t wait.

November 10th Edition of Monday’s Muse

Monday is obviously not my day. This is my day to run late, my day to be forgetful, and my day to be exhausted because I was up all night Sunday night preparing for my week.  One thing I keep forgetting is my Monday’s Muse post. Monday’s Muse is a meme hosted by Maternal Spark where we share things that help us with our creative juices.

Today I share with you, my baby’s sonagram picture.  Before this picture, I had never seen one that I could actually see the baby in.  I would look at people’s pictures and say “awww.” But truthfully, I saw nothing.  When they printed this picture of my Cameron, I was amazed!  I could really see her.  She was there.  And as any first time proud mommy would do, we headed to WalMart, scanned the pic and made copies for everyone.  I still have a framed one in my house that I look at and remember that awe of seeing “my baby.” This is when I really felt and knew that I was a Mom. When I visit others, I’m always amazed to still see this photo in their houses too some 8 years later.
