SwagBucks
Have you checked out Swagbucks? This is a new site I just discovered. It’s a reward type site. You get rewarded for completing offers and such. The easiest way to gather points? Searching. Yep. Just search through them instead of Google and you can earn points. 450 points is a $5 amazon gift card (other cards are available). This morning I did a search for Outer Banks homes on a whim and scored 16 points. I joined on Aug 6 and today I’ve already got 381 points. And I’ve not worked that hard at it. You should try it out. Let me know if you do…I’ll give you my referral.
One More Goal for this Year
I have one more goal that I forgot to mention earlier and that is to get back in my habit of “Sunshining.” What am I talking about? My favorite rewards site – Sunshine Rewards. This is a site where you can sign up for offers and shop to earn money. I’ve earned over a $1,000 (you can see the exact amount over there in my right sidebar), but I really slowed down the last three months. I just seem to be so busy that something had to give and unfortunately, Sunshine is what I let slide. With my recent car problems and Internet problems, it seems that I should have been focusing on this extra income. In addition to these to financial woes, I also have 2 cruises in the plans for summer 2010. If I want to move them from plans to reality, I MUST get back in the swing of things and start earning this second set of money. So today I decided to get started while I’m at my parents so that I can get a start as I know I’ll make little over the next week while I don’t have Internet. *sigh*
And today I’ve earned:
- Paid Signup: Aveeno Continuous Radiance (GTL) 0.35
- Credit: MyThoughtCounts/OTX (Daily) 01/03/2009 0.75
- Paid E-Mail: Thanks for being a Super Member for 4Q08! 0.55
- Paid Click: Hot Jobs (January 2009) 0.01
That’s a total of $1.66. I know to many of you this probably isn’t much and doesn’t seem worthwhile, but I’m excited to be off to a decent start. My goal is to make at least $34 a month. This would mean I would need to make $1.13 a day. While I know I’ll be behind this week with the lack of Internet, I’m still going to try to overcome this when it comes back (and I may try one more offer tonight and if I come to my parents tomorrow I’ll try some tomorrow). Wish me luck. And if you are interested in being a SR member, please sign up and I’ll be posting some tutorials over the next few weeks and I think I’ll try to post my weekly earnings maybe to keep me on track.
SuperMember Status Confirmed
Yea. I’m so excited. As you know I’ve had a hard time finding the time to be online for very long or even worse on a regular schedule since we left for Disney World, but I just logged in to Sunshine Rewards (see banner/link on right side) and found out that I’ve once again made Super Member Status. This means that I’ve made over a $100 in July, August, September. Did you catch that? Already this quarter (with a month left) I’ve made over a $100…in face I’ve made $144.29 in July and August. Because of my lack of activity, I also have a lot of offers to try out in the next few days and we are low on some items that I’ve started ordering online like makeup, toiletries, and pool supplies. I think if I wake up and get back on the ball, I just might make $200 this quarter!! Looking to make some extra money for surveys, shopping, and paid offers? Check out Sunshine Rewards.
The Best Mail is Disney Mail

Yes. This is the slogan at our house, and the past week has been the most awesome in Disney mail in a awhile. Last week right before leaving for Austin, we received our Magical Express tags from Disney. These are the tags that you place on your luggage so that when you get of the plane at Orlando you don’t have to worry about your luggage – you just board the Disney Magical Express bus, and your luggage will magically appear in your hotel room in a couple hours. (I LOVE THIS SERVICE) I was so excited as it was our first offical Disney mailing so I know this means our vacation is fast approaching! (note: they are the bright yellow tags you see at the top of the picture). Today was the first day that I had checked the mail since returning from Austin, and it included an even better piece of Disney mail – our actual travel documents. This includes our final verification documents of the trip along with the free goodies you receive from Disney including luggage tags and coupons for things such as Photopass, mini-golf, and Planet Hollywood.

But that’s not all! I also received my Disney gift cards I had cashed out for at Sunshine Rewards. Yes. If you need proof that reward programs work and that you do receive your earnings, check out my proof. You will see a total of $300 for our Disney vacation next month. This is what we’ll use to pay for souveniors and tip our waiters now that the dining plan does not include the tip. In the bottom right corner, you’ll notice one other gift card. This is a $10 American Express card that I earned through my participation with the Ipsos Survey Panel. This I think we’ll use in an airport when we need a snack or drink.
