Get Paid to Search

I’m always looking for easy ways to make a little extra money especially if I can make it for doing something I already do. One thing I seem to do day in and day out is surf for information.  So I’m excited to share with you a new opportunity I discovered yesterday – Scour!  Scour is a search engine that combines results from multiple search engines.  So instead of choosing Yahoo, MSN, or Google, you can search multiple search engines at one time.  And even better than that you can search them at one time AND be paid for it!  Now isn’t that a great idea!?!

Some of the highlights of Scour:

  1. We (the searchers) vote on the search results from Scour; thus, providing better search results for future searchers of the same terms.
  2. We (the searchers) get paid to search!
  3. Because voting is so important to the order that Scour presents its results, we (the searchers) also get paid for voting.
  4. We (the searchers) get paid to search!
  5. Points are distributed as follows: you receive one point each time you search, two points for voting for the search results, and three points for commenting on search results.
  6. We (the searchers) get paid to search!
  7. You earn for referrals also (25% of their earnings)
  8. We (the searchers) get paid to search!
  9. You can earn up to 4 points per search through any combination of actions. Repeat searches in the same day will not count.
  10. We (the searchers) get paid to search!
  11. When you reach 6500 points you will receive a $25 gift Visa credit card (or you can save up for larger gift cards 12,500 points = $50, and 25,000 points = $100)

The Best Mail is Disney Mail

Yes. This is the slogan at our house, and the past week has been the most awesome in Disney mail in a awhile.  Last week right before leaving for Austin, we received our Magical Express tags from Disney.  These are the tags that you place on your luggage so that when you get of the plane at Orlando you don’t have to worry about your luggage – you just board the Disney Magical Express bus, and your luggage will magically appear in your hotel room in a couple hours.  (I LOVE THIS SERVICE)  I was so excited as it was our first offical Disney mailing so I know this means our vacation is fast approaching! (note: they are the bright yellow tags you see at the top of the picture).  Today was the first day that I had checked the mail since returning from Austin, and it included an even better piece of Disney mail – our actual travel documents.  This includes our final verification documents of the trip along with the free goodies you receive from Disney including luggage tags and coupons for things such as Photopass, mini-golf, and Planet Hollywood.

But that’s not all!  I also received my Disney gift cards I had cashed out for at Sunshine Rewards. Yes. If you need proof that reward programs work and that you do receive your earnings, check out my proof. You will see a total of $300 for our Disney vacation next month.  This is what we’ll use to pay for souveniors and tip our waiters now that the dining plan does not include the tip.  In the bottom right corner, you’ll notice one other gift card. This is a $10 American Express card that I earned through my participation with the Ipsos Survey Panel. This I think we’ll use in an airport when we need a snack or drink.

Earnings for July 2nd and 3rd

Here we are 24 days into the challenge and I’m still doing pretty good.  So far I’ve earned well over the $240 ($10 a day for 24 days). I’m so glad that Janet and Catherine included me in this challenge (thanks ladies).  I just hope that I can continue my success when school starts.  Here’s my report for July 2nd and 3rd:

Challenge Catch Up

Oh yea…I’m behind on being held accountable to you, and I’m behind on my earnings. But I’m going to try to start playing catchup on both reporting to you and to earning my $10 a day.

So by my records I haven’t updated since the 25th which means I need to report in from the 26th to today – that’s 6 days which means I should have earned $60.  Now let’s see how far off I am.

oohh!!  I actually did make $60!  I REALLY didn’t think I would! It has seemed so slow the last few days.

Total Earned: $77.98
Total Goal Thus Far: $220  Total Earned: $390.08
