Press Release: Hole In the Wall on Cartoon Network

Wednesday nights are about to get even more outrageous with the premiere of Cartoon Network’s hilarious new game show, Hole in the Wall. Hosted by Teck Holmes (The Real World Hawaii), Hole in the Wall is a “twisted” half-hour game show featuring two teams of families in competition as they face down a series of moving walls with ever-changing cut-out shapes. The fun begins on Wednesday, October 6 with the debut of Hole in the Wall at 7:30 p.m. (ET, PT), followed by all new episodes of Cartoon Networks returning hit series of Dude, What Would Happen at 8:00 p.m. and Destroy Build Destroy at 8:30 p.m. In Hole in the Wall, contortion is key as competitors must position their bodies in any way possible to clear the walls and avoid being thrust into a pool of water – all before a live-audience. As they successfully face down each wall, the patterns become more and more challenging.

Who will be the last family standing to take home the coveted Hole in the Wall trophy and get the opportunity to conquer the nearly impossible “Impossiwall?” Hole in the Wall, the global game show phenomenon and online sensation, is produced by FremantleMedia North America with Scott St. John as executive producer. During their spring 2010 seasons, both Dude, What Would Happen and Destroy Build Destroy achieved double-digit delivery gains among key kid and boys demos. In fact, Destroy Build Destroy was the #1 program on all television—both broadcast and cable—among boys 2-11, boys 6-11 and boys 9-14 during its Wednesday 8:30 p.m. time period. In the new season of Dude, What Would Happen, Jackson, Ali and CJ ask such ridiculously thought provoking questions as, “Dude, what would happen if we tried to surf to class? Or, if we tried to bowl in zero G’s? Or, Dude what would happen if we tried to do laundry in a car wash?” The sky’s the limit for these three! Dude, What Would Happen was created by Chuck Dalakis. The series is produced by Ping Pong Productions with Brad Kuhlman and Casey Brumels as executive producers. Host Andrew W.K. is back to moderate the mayhem with all new episodes of Destroy Build Destroy. NFL superstars Shawne Merriman and Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers and NASCAR standouts Joey Logano and Carl Edwards join in on the fun as guest players in two of these brand new episodes. Destroy Build Destroy was created by Dan Taberski and produced by Idiot Box & Mess Media. Dan Taberski and Scott Messick are executive producers for the series. Buying a New TV Tomorrow

Tomorrow I’m buying a new tv – our first flat screen and it’s probably strange, but it’s going in my youngest daughter’s room.  Her room is the smallest in the house, though, and I think it will make her room look a lot bigger to get a tv on the wall and off  the big dresser it’s on now.  I can’t wait.  I’ve picked one out – not very big, but not too small, but not sure about a few things.  Have to research how many vga cables you can hook up to it, and need to figure out what to do with the dvd player.  hmm…maybe I need to do some image searching online.  Should I mount a shelf on the wall beside it?  Confused!

Is It Sad?

Is it sad that I usually hate commercials with a passion, but during the holiday season, I just love commercials. From the jewelry (such as the Diamond Initial Pendant) that I go..wow! how pretty to the electronics, they are all so entertaining. My favorite so far this year is Santa in Sears doing his electronic shopping – buying TV’s I believe and the reindeer don’t want to haul his purchases home but Sears assures him they have free delivery.  If you haven’t seen that one yet, you’ll have to check it out.  I can’t wait for more commercials! :-)

Online Commercials

As I was looking for a Hannah Montana video for Cameron today, I realized that there are lots of commercials on YouTube now such as this one for Buy.com:

This got me to thinking – how many people actually watch these commercials? Are people actually watching these? Or are the companies just uploading to YouTube and then embedding them elsewhere?  I mean at the time I’m writing this, this particular video says it has nearly 400,000 views.  Wow!

As a parent, I thought it was a really cute commercial – I can see this being my daughters – informing me of how they found something on sale and be so proud to only find out that I paid for it.

But I’m still left wondering – do you watch commercials on YouTube?  Am I the only one that finds that slightly odd?

Dancing With The Stars Is Back!

We are big Dancing With the Stars fans so imagine how excited we were last night for the Season 8 Premiere. Cameron had softball practice, but we had dvr’d it so we were still able to watch it all.  (yea for modern technology).  I was anxious to see it because I heard that Julianne is not the only musical talent this season. Her brother, Derek, and Mark Ballas  are now moving into the singing world.  I’ve loved Julianne since first hearing her voice so I couldn’t wait to hear these two guys voices.

These two men are accustomed to success and after hearing the first couple songs on their new album (that was released today by the way), I’m convinced they may be about to lineup another success besides Dancing with the Stars to their resumes.   Their first single is Do It For You – listen below and let me know what you think:

I think it is going to grow on me real fast!  It’s reminds me of some of my favorite bands from high school.  I’ve only listened to country pretty much the last several years, but I think I could grow to like this.

Want to find out more about this? You can find them on their video channel, facebook, and myspace sites.

As for my DWTS favorite? I’m rooting for Julianne for as long as she’s going. I liked watching them dance.
