Jonas Brothers Concert Review

Two weekends ago I took my daughter to see the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato in their Camp Rock 2 tour at the Woodlands in Houston, Texas, and was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the show.  While the music is not necessarily my favorite type, I was impressed at the overall show and the entertainment. From huge screens with great images, great music, and lots of fire and such.  I thoroughly enjoyed the show.

The opening was a little much for me with the “Camp Rock Friends” and to be honest, I wasn’t as impressed with Demi Lovato as I thought I would be, but I really, really enjoyed the Jonas Brothers aspect of the concert.  Their music was great – great voices and great music.  While each has their own strengths, I found Nick to be an amazing musician – what a voice and so talented with various musical instruments.

If you have a chance to take your child, I highly recommend this show.  Well worth the money!

B-I-N-G-O Post #4

My fourth task for Blogger Bingo is to tell you about my dream vacation and boy is that super easy for me!  In our house all dream vacations contain one integral word – DISNEY!

Disney

Yes, my family and I love Disney.  My absolute dream vacation would actually be a continous series of Disney vacations.  I would love to go to each of the Disney parks and do a few Disney cruises – all trips back to back.  Just one huge Disney vacation.

We’ve done Disney World three times, but I’d still be ready to go back. Our longest trip was 10 days and that wasn’t enough! We still didn’t do everything we had hoped. So that would be a 2 to 3 week stay.

I haven’t been to any of the other Disney locations so I’m not sure about length of stays, but we’d also have to hit up Disneyland, Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, and like I mentioned a Disney Cruise or two.  In addition, we might just have to do an Adventures by Disney trip too.  I’ve always wondered about those.

Yes, an all things Disney trip that lasted I don’t know 6 to 8 weeks would be mine (and my girls) dream vacation!

One of My Favorite Gifts

One of my favorite gifts to give is a framed stock certificate. One year I bought a couple each month and then gave them to all of the family for Christmas. Another year I gave them to each of my friends for their birthdays. Cameron has a framed stock Build A Bear on her wall that I bought from Frame A Stock. With Valentine’s Day coming up, I’m thinking of buying both the girls Disney stocks. It seems like it has been a long time since we went to Disney, and the girls really miss it. This seems like a great way to bring the girls a touch of Disney.

Frame A Stock is a site that allows you to buy one share of stock in a select group of stocks such as Disney, McDonald’s, Build A Bear, and DreamWorks.  The stock certificate comes framed so that it can be proudly displayed.  Because it’s a true ownership in the company, owners receive dividend checks, annual reports, and any other perks that come along with stock ownership.  The benefits are the same for the owners of this one stock as the ones that own several shares.

I love the idea of giving individual framed stocks. It makes for such an interesting idea, and I’ve never given one that wasn’t truly appreciated.  It’s so fun to watch someone’s eyes light up when receive their own personal stock that is handpicked – a favorite store of theirs.  If you’re looking for a unique gift for someone special in your life, consider an individual stock.  If you have any questions, let me know..I’d be glad to tell you more about my experiences.
