Time Flies – October Before We Know It
Before we know it, September will have flown by and October will be here. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is one of the most important causes I think there are – one of the months that I think deserve the most recognition. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in American women. That’s right ladies. Listen up! This is a topic that you should research and know about all year long – not just in October.

There are so many ways to support and promote breast cancer awareness. One of the neatest I’ve seen though is the joining of Twentieth Century Fox, MGM, and the Susan G Komen For the Cure. These groups have joined together to produce and sale DVD’s for the Cure. These are “chick flicks” on DVD that are specially wrapped in pink packaging in honor of breast cancer awareness. They will be available for sale September 23, just in time to be in our homes in October.
The following movies will be available:
- A Walk in the Clouds
- An Affair to Remember
- Ever After
- In Her Shoes
- Legally Blonde
- Moulin Rouge
- Never Been Kissed
- Say Anything
- Thelma & Louise
- There’s Something About Mary
- The Princess Bride
- Just My Luck
- Little Miss Sunshine
- Edward Scissorhands
- When Harry Met Sally
I know I plan to purchase several of these. I think this is such a great idea. I haven’t seen the price yet, but if they are not too expensive, I’ll pick up some extras for gifts also. That is if I don’t win a set from Props and Pans who is proudly supporting the cause and giving away a set of DVDs.
