An Odd Story – Pay Per Click
I’ve been reading up on different ways to make money online (and in particular with blogging), and I came across a really interesting article that I just thought I had to share. It concerns Google Adwords. You’ll never guess what one of the highest paying keywords is! Are you ready? It’s mesothelioma. Yep, you read correct – a form of cancer caused by asbestos is one of google’s highest paying keywords. The current bid (as of April 30) for mesothelioma is $83.74 (compared to $3.48 for ring tone). Who would have guessed? The author of the article I was reading attributed it to lawyers. I’m still working on my understanding of Google and how to make money from Google, but I just thought I’d share that such an odd word (that I wasn’t even 100% sure what it meant) was ranked so high.
