A Unique Vacation

My best friend and I have been wanting to take a girls trip this summer and do something different and special. We want to avoid the crowds - not interested in fighting crowds. We’ve talked about the beach, but every place we’ve come up with, our first response is always, “too many college kids.” After coming across the news release below about Oregon Coast Vacation Rentals, I’m wondering if maybe I’ve found it - Oregon!! Who would have thought it? I know for a fact that it would not be a place to cross to many young adults’ minds. This is for sure our most important qualifier. I’ve checked out the site, and this is my favorite:

It’s a lighthouse. That seems like such a unique experience - to spend a few nights in an actual lighthouse on the beach of Oregon. The only downside is that it is only one bedroom, but I am still thinking I will be checking airfare prices in the morning when I wake up. Even if we can’t pull it off this year, maybe we can check them out next summer (or Spring Break). This house below says it will sleep eight though so maybe even more than just a girls trip - maybe joining up with a family or two and making this a fun trip.

If this turned out as excellent as I would think, the really fascinating thing about all of this is that Ocean Beach Vacations now has a rewards program for returning visitors much like hotel and airline reward programs. You earn points for joining, for staying at their properties, and for uploading pictures of your vacation. This seems like great reasons to make this a family tradition to go every year or two.
