Thanksgiving Plans?

We are staying home this year for Thanksgiving but as I’ve had my students planning their dream vacations for the last week, I’ve been thinking about how nice it would be to be heading out on vacation soon – some place warm and relaxing. I got an email today about myrtle beach vacation rentals and the beach sounds heavenly. :-)   Instead we’ll be putting up the remainder of our Christmas decorations and relaxing at home. I guess as busy as life has been it will be nice for it to just slow down some even if we are staying home….but I think I’ll still keep dreaming – warm, sand, sunshine, water…….yep…I’m there!

Thanksgiving Err….Eating Begins

Holiday feasting has officially started. Our PTSO fed us lunch today and boy was it good.  This is the time of year when it’s almost impossible to make wise decisions. I soooo love our holiday food.  This is the time of year I need some sort of diet pills that would make my metabolism like that of a 13 year old boy or something. I just can’t resist the dressing and dumplings and pies and deviled eggs…and don’t forget the rolls and the banana pudding.  YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY!

Is It Sad?

Is it sad that I usually hate commercials with a passion, but during the holiday season, I just love commercials. From the jewelry (such as the Diamond Initial Pendant) that I go..wow! how pretty to the electronics, they are all so entertaining. My favorite so far this year is Santa in Sears doing his electronic shopping – buying TV’s I believe and the reindeer don’t want to haul his purchases home but Sears assures him they have free delivery.  If you haven’t seen that one yet, you’ll have to check it out.  I can’t wait for more commercials! :-)

Snowed Under

Every time I think I’ve got a handle on my to do list, everything piles up again at once. So I have this constant feeling of being behind. No matter how many things I mark off my list, twice as many get added it seems from helping a friend trade in a rental and get a new tuxedo to simple things like reorganizing the movie shelf, it just seems to go on and on, but I’ve decided that I’m going to spend at least 2 hours each day of Thanksgiving break (Wednesday – Sunday for me) online blogging, catching up in my favorite forums, and trying to do most of my online Christmas shopping. So bear with me for a few more days, and then I’ll try to get back in the swing of things.
