Getting Serious
I almost forgot to tell you that my just making small changes to work on weight/health is over, and I’m now getting serious.
Like I mentioned earlier things are starting to slow down here so I’m moving my focus to exercising. I’ve actually enlisted a few students and one teacher, and we are all working after school every day. That will be 5 days a week of exercising. We started today. I’m going to also start adding in some personal exercising with the Wii Fit again to up the calories just a little. I’ve also decided to not eat in our cafeteria much for the rest of the year. I’ll be back to Special K lunches and Chicken Noodle lunches – low calories. Yep, the new focus – getting healthy and needing those life insurance leads I mentioned earlier. So wish me luck and watch for my posts about my progress.
How Did You Find My Site?
I use a couple plugins/sites to just see how many visitors I have from time to time and how they come about my site. I don’t really look at it all that much anymore – especially now that I’m slowly moving this to an entirely personal blog. Imagine my surprise today when besides the normal few phrases I’m accustomed to that I find that someone searched for Ferrari parts and came upon this site. I don’t know that I’ve ever used the word Ferrari on here, and I can assure you that I don’t own one. LOL So how that brought them here, I have no idea, but I found it amusing and thought I’d share my laughing moment for the day.
Closer, Closer
One of those days….day after day…but every time I am getting frustrated and ready to scream, I remember that we’re now down to only about 20 days of school left…so close. This may be the most ready for summer I’ve ever been.
I am so ready. It seems like when life should be slowing down right now, it just isn’t. I keep thinking that something big is off the list for the year, but I don’t see the slow down.
We’re testing this week, a term life insurance company wants to talk to us even though I know I’m not adding any more life insurance right now. It’s just one thing after the other.
We were looking so forward to the weekend because it’s my niece’s birthday party and today i find out that we have to makeup a softball game this weekend that was rained out earlier. This is horrible, but I’m actually hoping it will get rained out again so that we can still go to Dallas. There are two times a year we always go to my sister’s – my nephew’s party and my niece’s party. I really hate when something happens, and we miss one of these occasions.
Sunday Smile #22 – April 26
Sunday Smile is a meme to share something about your week that brought a smile to your face (and will bring one to your readers). For me this is usually a forwarded message I got….the best one I received that week – the one that made me laugh out loud. So check out my Sunday Smile today and then go back to your blog and post something to make your reader’s smile – a forwarded like message, a story about something that happened to you, or even a photo of a funny moment….Then come back and sign Mr. Linky below so that we can all enjoy each other’s smiles as the week progresses and we get busy.
Praise The Lord
There was a little old lady, who every morning stepped onto her front porch, raised her arms to the sky, and shouted: ‘PRAISE THE LORD!’
One day an atheist moved into the house next door. He became irritated at the little old lady. Every morning he’d step onto his front porch after her and yell: ‘THERE IS NO LORD!’
Time passed with the two of them carrying on this way every day.
One morning, in the middle of winter, the little old lady stepped onto her front porch and shouted: ‘PRAISE THE LORD! Please Lord, I have no food and I am starving, provide for me, oh Lord!
The next morning she stepped out onto her porch and there were two huge bags of groceries sitting there..
‘PRAISE THE LORD!’ she cried out. ‘HE HAS PROVIDED GROCERIES FOR ME!’
The atheist neighbor jumped out of the hedges and shouted: ‘THERE IS NO LORD; I BOUGHT THOSE GROCERIES!!’
The little old lady threw her arms into the air and shouted: ‘PRAISE THE LORD! HE HAS PROVIDED ME WITH GROCERIES AND MADE THE DEVIL PAY FOR THEM!’
Small Talk Six – April 25

It’s another week of the new MomDot meme, Small Talk Six. The object of Small Talk Six is to give us something fun to blog about on Saturdays that also tells our readers a little about us. It’s a great way to make new friends and find out things they would normally never share.
This week’s topic is kind of interesting and really gets you thinking. This week you are to list:
6 things other people do that make you personally uncomfortable
Hmm….Where do I begin? This will require some thought….
- Large amounts of Cursing. A little here and there is ok, but large amounts do make me uncomfortable.
- Public Displays of Affection. Not small, natural ones mind you. But I have no need to see people practically make babies in front of me – this seems to always happen at concerts!
- Lying. I can’t stand to know that someone is lying to me.
- 6 things other people do that make you personally uncomfortable. It’s been years since I’ve actually witnessed people do drugs, but many a many years ago I traveled in a circle where drugs weren’t so uncommon and popped up from time to time, and it was never anything I was comfortable with seeing.
- Tears. Not all tears, but just random teenage girl crying for no real reason….well I say teenage because that’s what I see, but really any random female emotions get on my nerves.
- Putting Other People Down/Gossiping. Now, we all get stupid from time to time, but people that do this all the time, make me VERY uncomfortable.
What are some actions that people do that make you uncomfortable? Go write about it and be sure to sign the Mr. Linky over at MomDot.
