Almost everyone I know starts having larger and larger car problems after they pay their vehicle off. So now that I’ve officially joined the members of the “Americans with no car payments,” I’ve started getting nervous. I’ll be using the first month’s money that is normally dedicated to that dang car payment to having my car go through a general servicing to try to prevent anything major from happening. I’ve actually been really lucky with the last couple cars that I’ve owned (knock on wood) as any problems I have had have been ones that were relatively cheap and were not computer related so my dad could still repair them. An acquaintance of mine just had to buy a steering rack and was lucky enough to find it online. I would have never even thought to look online, but now that I’m a member of this elite no car payment group, I’m going to be bookmarking sites like the one she used, Power Steering Pros. With soaring gas prices, in fact, I’m bookmarking almost all sites that offer free shipping.
Just days after the premier of Disney’s latest made for TV movie, Camp Rock, plans are being released involving a Camp Rock 2. Reportedly, the movie will cast many repeats from the first movie that we watched this weekend including all three of the Jonas Brothers (Joe, Kevin, and Nick) and Demi Lovato. A possible release date has not been announced to the public yet; however, filming will reportedly begin next spring or early summer. Looks like Disney really does think this movie will continue in the footsteps of High School Musical (which is now working on becoming a trilogy as part 3 is filming now).
This trip to Disney will be our last for two years (Yes, I’m going to try VERY hard to make that a true statement), and I’ve always wanted to check out the Disney outlets in Orlando as I’ve read about them on several forums I’ve been to. So I’m wondering if I should rent a car for a day or two. I really like NOT having to drive while on vacation. It’s one of the reasons I love Disney, but car rental from Advantage is looking like such a great deal that I would be better off with a rental than a taxi. I found rates at $19.99 a day – last time I rode a Taxi, we paid that each way. Ugh! I hate making these types of decisions. Any ideas?
