During the recently ended season of Dancing with the Stars, Cristian de la Fuente suffered an arm injury that could have put him out of the contest for good. He didn’t let it stop him though. His partner, Cheryl Burke choreographed dances that didn’t involve his injured arm, and his persistence took him to the final round of Dancing with the Stars. On Friday, May 23th, he went through sugery on his tendon. He has now completed the surgery needed on his arm and is back home in Los Angeles recovering. His doctor expects him to make a full recovery. Want to see more of de la Fuente? He’ll be premiering in the upcoming USA series, “In Plain Sight.”

Meet Demi Lovato
What do Hillary Duff, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato have in common? All are teen girls that Disney has latched on and promoted. We are all probably familiar wtih Hillary Duff and Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana. If you have a young girl in your home that watches the Disney Channel, you are probably familiar with Selena Gomez who has starred on “Hannah Montana” and now “Wizards of Waverly Place.” Next on Disney’s list of teen finds seems to be Demi Lovato.
Lovato has already been introducted briefly in “As the Bell Rings” on Disney Channel. She will next appear in “Camp Rock” (a Disney movie airing this summer starring The Jonas Brothers) and “Princess Protection Program.” But Disney has not stopped there, they already have Demi scheduled to be star in another upcoming series tentatively called “Mollywood.” In this series, Demi will play Molly a 15 year old girl from a small town who was chosen in a nationwide search to be on a teen comedy show. The series will focus on the comedy show and on Molly’s life.
Disney has also signed Demi Lovato to a music deal, and she will be touring with The Jonas Brothers this summer.

At Home Medical Testing
This weekend while visiting with my grandmother, I picked up her edition of the Woman’s Day, June 17th edition. One of the articles was over all of the at home medical tests available now and whether or not they recommended the home versions versus going to the doctor/medical lab for the “official” tests. They discussed everything from the basic home pregnancy test to STD testing. Well, boy did I feel naive. I didn’t even know that some of these tests existed in an at home version. So I did a little research today out of curiousity and sure enough, according to the vendors, we can in fact be tested for almost anything at home now. tSTD is an at home STD testing company that promises confidential, nonembarrasing, professional testing from your home. Who would have known?
Miley Cyrus “Breakout”
Miley Cyrus’s third CD will be released July 22. This will be the first CD to be a simply “Miley” cd - not tied to Hannah Montana. The first single from the CD “7 Things” is already hitting the airwaves. Cyrus makes bigs moves with this CD. Like I said she not only is releasing this only as “Miley,” she’s also featuring music she co-writes on the CD (including “7 Things”).
